His Obsession

Part 19

Ashley and Lucas has arrived at his parent's house. They both exit out of the car standing, before Lucas even enter he take a deep breath and exhale it nervously. Ashley are confuse by his sudden nervous.

Until his mom appear and welcome them " oh my baby is here " she say happily and raise her arms for a hug from Ashley. Ashley smile and they both hug while Lucas's mom rub her back.

They broke the hug and smile at each other. Lucas look at them frowning " seriously? How could you do this to me only welcome Ashley but not me? Who's your child now? " He ask in a sulk way.

His mom roll her eyes speechless " I've met you that day. I didn't meet Ashley in a long time of course I welcome her " she say in a teasing way. His mom scoffs and held Ashley's arm " let's go inside " she say with a smile. They both walk inside the house leaving Lucas speechless behind.

His dad appear at the right time and raise his arm " hey here's my favorite daughter " he say excitedly. Ashley smile awkwardly because she really didn't have any intention at all but she had to accept and play along with the act.

His dad pat Ashley's back " come let's have a dinner. The food is already prepared " he say while smiling happily. Ashley and Lucas's parents walk together to the dining room meanwhile Lucas stand there smiling loving the sight he's looking at right now.

He loves it when he saw the person he love are all together. He feel like his heart is happy seeing this sight again. He thought when they broke up, he would never see this sight again but he felt glad that Ashley agree to this even though it's quite hard.

They all are now sit down get ready to start eating for their dinner. They sit down saying some stuffs laughing happily together until Lucas's mom start to ask " when will you both getting married? ".

Ashley choke by the sudden question cause his parents to worried. Lucas are more worried looking at her concern while patting her back gently and give a cup of water. Ashley gently punch her chest while still coughing.

She clear her throat and smile nervously " not sure about that " ahe answer giving an awkward smile after.

Lucas's mom sigh and give a comfort smile " I can't wait to have a grandchildren that's why I can't wait for you both to get married " she tease.

Ashley scoffs while giving an awkward smile " I'm not ready for that " she say while laughing nervously.

Lucas just look at her " mom stop it don't make her flustered " he defend Ashley so the situation doesn't seem awkward.

His mom chuckle " I'm joking. It's just that it's weird you both are not married yet " she tease again.

Lucas sigh speechless " mom, I thought we've promise not to say anything about it don't we? " He look at her like he's so done with her.

His mom chuckle teasingly " sorry but I really love you both okay. I hope you both are still doing well " she remind.

Ashley just look down not knowing what to respond. Lucas seems speechless too so he space out for a moment not knowing how to respond so his dad notice the silence.

His dad try to open a new topic. He clasp his hands under his chin and look at them " so Lucas, I've heard you hand over the club business to your friend? " He ask.

Lucas who is holding his knife and fork stop. He feels mad but try to remain calm " yeah I did ". His dad ask why while chewing on his food.

Lucas sigh and look at his dad annoyed " because I hate to manage that business again. It's not for me only someone's are more suitable to manage that stupid business " he say furiously.

His mom are surprise by his sudden speech and Ashley feel awkward sitting there while chewing slowly on her food. His dad sigh " you know you should ask my permissions first " he say strictly.

Lucas scoffs speechless " even if I ask, will you even allow? I know you wouldn't that's why I had to do it behind your back even though you eventually knew it anyway " he say in a rude manner.

His dad clench his jaw trying to be patient " you know it's not good that someone else manage that. It's has to be us. Your grandfather, your great-grandfather pass that to us to manage it. Soon it will be your son " he say strictly.

Lucas put down his knife and spoon roughly. He look at his dad intimidatingly " you should know it's not good for me to manage it either. Why me? I'm not for that. Why don't you just ask your favorite son instead? You should've ask him to manage it because he's for it " he say furiously.

His dad groan " don't talk to me in that manner ".

Lucas scoffs speechless " blame the one who make me like this " he say and stand up from his seat.

His dad yell strictly " don't you dare walk away while we are in the middle of dinner. Sit down ". But Lucas ignore didn't bother at all. He just walk away not bothering about his dad.

His dad wanted to wake up from his seat but his mom grab his wrist to stop him " let him be. Don't provoke him " she warn. His dad sit down exhale his breath roughly feeling furious.

His mom then held Ashley's hand and nodded " why don't you go and comfort him. I'm sure he will feel calm if you're the one who approach him ".

Ashley look at his parents nervous and nodded. She wake up from her seat and walk away to comfort Lucas. She found Lucas is standing at the backyard. She stand behind but with distance not wanting to near him.

She stand there with her lips lock not knowing what to say. She didn't even know how to comfort him at all so she just stand there contemplating of how to comfort him.

Lucas who is staring outside " if you didn't even want to say something you might as well can just leave " he say coldly.

Ashley look at him and softly say " I'm sorry ".

Lucas scoffs " what are you even sorry for? It's not like you make me mad ".

Ashley bite her lower lip nervously " I understand you hate your dad so I don't know what to say to comfort you because at times we do feel like that towards our parents everytime they said something that ruin our mood but whatever it is don't fight with him for so long like this. It's okay you can be mad at him for this time but don't be too long. That's all " she say softly.

Lucas scoffs speechless " you really do knew how to say such a comforting words don't you? Okay I will take that advices thank you that really calm me down " he say while still not facing her.

Ashley smile a little and nodded " I will get going. You can just be here to calm yourself down first I will not bother you " she say softly making his heart melt.

He nodded " okay sure I will get back later if I'm already calm ". Ashley nodded and walk away after. Lucas feel calm that Ashley really did comfort him.

He couldn't describe the happiness he felt when she's literally by his side when he's so mad. He didn't expect this either but he genuinely feel happy.

He smile like an idiot like an idiot who fall in love billion times.
