Both Leo, and Nancy woke up in the real world, but instead of the classroom, they realized that they were sleepwalking this whole time, while holding hands, and ended up in the basement of the abandoned preschool.

Leo checked to see if his plan worked, and sure enough he found Freddy still tied with belts, as he was still removing them with his razor glove. Once all the belts were off, Leo, and Nancy got up, before the Springwood Slasher could. Leo even gave Nancy the baseball bat, as she was now back to being a teenager in the real world.

Finally once Freddy was up, he got hit by the bat again, but this time by Nancy, while Leo stabbed him in the heart, and then pulled out, causing the slasher to fall on the ground, and bleed. "Damn it," Freddy said. "This is the problem with kids these days. They always grow up, and fight back. Good thing I got most of you, though. See you both I n H e l l." Freddy fell to his death, while Leo pulled out a lit lighter, and dropped it on the killer's corpse once he was dead.

Just then, Sheriff Templeton, and his squad busted out through the door, just as Freddy's corpse burned, and both Leo, and Nancy decided to leave. Just before the cops could pull out their guns, they found Leo, and Nancy in front of Freddy's burning corpse. "The killer's been stopped, and is now in the same fate," Leo explained. "We lost Nigel, and Yu during the dreams, but I know they're in a better place along with the other of our friends who got killed. Now I believe we'll be at 2 new funerals."

"Well at least you two are safe," Gerald commented. "As for you, young lady, we'll have to come up with a punishment, until we get home." "Dad, I wanted to help Leo, even if we haven't been with each other, for so long," Nancy explained. "I feel bad for dating Mike, and not him." "But Mike gave you almost everything," Gerald said. "Why are you telling me this now." "Mike might have been charming, but the truth was he was a cheater, and a swindler," Nancy explained. "Yu told me before we came out here. He stole my grandmother's ring." "I see," Gerald said. "Well we'll have to interrogate his parents since he's dead."

"Why, did they swindle people they knew as well?" Leo asked. "We're not sure yet, but we'll find out," Gerald answered. "Come on." The sheriff, and his fellow officer lead both Leo, and Nancy out of the basement, and they headed up the stairs. "So where are the corpses that you mentioned were once 2 of your street friends?" Gerald asked. "Well to tell you the truth while we were dreaming, we must've been sleepwalking, and ended up in the basement," Leo answered. "My guess is that they're still in the classroom we fell asleep in." "We'll take them to the morgue, and get coffins for them," Gerald explained. "And Leo, why don't you spend the night with us, since you did well in keeping my daughter safe. I trust that you might have a future working with us."
