The Descendant of Sappher and the Former Elf Princess

BATHING AND changing into more comfortable clothing after the unforeseen battle that took place outside the town of Adral earlier, Ciradyl did not waste any time and immediately went to the castle's library even though it was already dead of the night. It was not enough just learning about the stone that could negate the effect of the moonrite stone on the Yther's Queens. She wanted to search for it, find it, and then use it to the queens' advantage.

As long as they had no means to fight the moonrite stone, the queens would always be at a disadvantage. King Tirac could enchant cloaks to temporarily protect the queens from the moonrite stone's effect, but it would take a lot of essence and it was not a feasible long-term solution against the moonrite stone.

We need the Black Sunre.

Cira wanted to be useful for Her Highness and the other queens. There were already a handful of powerful beings that could fight beside the Yther's Queens. As much as she wanted to fight alongside Her Highness, she knew where she was needed the most, and that was to find the Black Sunre. She had no idea what it looked like or if she could find it, but she would not give up.

"It's already past midnight, my lady. You should be in bed."

Cira's didn't stop walking even when Xeke suddenly appeared beside her. "And you're stalking me."

Xeke teleported from Cira's side to her front to stop her in her tracks. "My lady, you need to rest and sleep. Your health will plummet if you continue disregarding your well-being."

Cira calmly looked at Xeke and explained to make him understand why she was up and about, "I need to do some research about the Black Sunre stone."

Xeke sighed as if giving up on persuading Cira to go back to her room. Xeke had been traveling with Cira for quite a while now, and he knew how stubborn this elf in front of him was.

"So you're off to the library?"

Cira nodded. "Don't worry. I'm fine. I can't sleep anyway. I might as well do something productive."

Xeke's worried expression turned to amusement in a second. "My lady, I'm pretty certain this is not the way to the castle's library."

Cira's lips parted then gave Xeke a thoughtless reason while avoiding his eyes. "Um... It's a shortcut?"

Xeke tried not to laugh at his elf. "It'll be a dead end in the kitchen."

Cira clicked her tongue then started walking toward the opposite direction. Of course, Xeke followed suit. He did not say anything until Cira stopped and grudgingly asked, "Where the hell is that library?!"

Xeke bowed at Cira while motioning his hand toward the right path. "This way, my lady."

Cira glared at Xeke. "Why didn't you say so earlier?! We could've save a lot of time!"

"You look adorable trying to find the right way."
