The lost triplets

chapter 38

After James left it was just Marco and Skye.

"You can go if you want"  Marco said not knowing what Skye wanted.

"Why were you investigating the gang" she asked.

"I suppose it doesn't matter now you know the truth. We believe there is a member that has not been caught by the police one of the drug dealers"

Skye knew straight away it was Alex.

Of course she wouldn't tell Marco that.

Before anymore could be said there was a knock at the door. Marco opened it to see James. "Rafael wants to see us Skye" he said looking towards Skye.

"He's probably gonna tell you about the Mafia or something since Alexander mentioned it" Marco commented.

"So I guess we should act suprised" James said.

"It would be helpful," Marco replied. He wasn't suppose to tell.

"Can you come too" Skye asked.

Marco was suprised by this request but slowly nodded.

In the living room, everyone was suprised to see Marco walk in with James and Skye.

The room was very quiet even Leo and Nico weren't talking.

"Take a seat" Rafael said , he was sitting in a armchair which alone screamed power.

James and Skye both chose to sit next to Alex who immediately went into protective mode.

Leo and Lorenzo were in arm chairs too and so Marco took a seat next to Nico.

"So after Alexanders accusation I have decided it's for the best you knew the truth" Rafael said his tone changing to a more business one.

"We are not part of a gang however we are part of the Mafia, actually I am the boss and when I retire, Lorenzo will become the boss. You are not to tell anyone this information. The reason I have decided to tell you is because I have decided it will be easier bring honest from the start"

Although James and Skye knew and Alex basically knew the three triplets were terrified.

Skye didn't want them to touch her.
Alex didn't want to be a drug dealer.
James didn't want to be tortured.

Marco understood what Skye was thinking but he knew Akex wouldn't let him get close.

"We won't tell we promise" James whispered not wanting to be hurt.

"On one condition" Alex decided to put away his fears, he needed to protect Skye and James.

Everyone was amused by this and thr boys all looked to their dad who had a slight smirk on his face, he too was amused. No one had ever said that to him before.

"What is it" he asked knowing they were still children and didn't understand properly.

"We want no part of it. Meaning just because you have told us don't expect us to become part of it one day or bring home your work friends" Alex's voice was more shakey this time.

"Of course. If you don't want to be a part of it you don't have to but as we do have quite a few enemies I would like it if you learnt a little self defence"

The triplets self defence knowledge was limited, it usually consisted of not crying or  not speaking, it would just make them get bored quicker.
Unless it was Skye then the boys would do anything to try to get to her.

"Considering what has happened so far I think that wise" Lorenzo stated refering to Skye getting beat up and then Alex and James getting attacked too.

"Fine" Alex agreed, he needed to learn so he could protect Skye and James.

"Perfect,Leo and Marco will teach you"  Rafael said, he chose both of them because he knew how good both of them were and he wanted his youngest to bond with Marco more.

"So basically it's just another opportunity for Marco to beat us up" Alex wasn't thrilled.

"I'll supervise" Lorenzo offered knowing Alex vaguely trusted him.

"You have work and you are barely about these days" Rafael pointed out. It was true, Lorenzo tried to spend time at home for Skye but he was at his own place quite alot.

"Then I'll supervise when I'm about" Lorenzo said knowing his father was correct.

"I can assure you, Marco won't do anything but teach yourself defense. And if he does he won't like it" Rafael said firmly.

"I don't know if I'm the best choice. I'm not exactly the best when it comes to self defense" Marco muttered.

His thoughts were scattered but his main one was how am I suppose to teach them how send their selves if I couldn't defend myself, if I couldn't save them.

"You're older now Marco, you are one of the best. This will be good for you" Rafael said also knowing it would help Marco in feeling guilty for not protecting them even though Rafael didn't blame him in the slightest. His son was 8. There was nothing he could have done however he knew his son thought he should have done more.

"What's he talking about" Alex asked.

"Nothing just an incident"

"What did he get bullied or something when he was a kid. Is that why you bully us because you couldn't save yourself" Alex asked in a mocking tone.

"Stop it Alex" Skye said knowing the full truth.
"Yeah you shouldn't talk like that" James added.

Skye wanted to hug Marco but he had a deadly look on her face that had her cowering into James.

Marco slowly walked forward

"Marco"Rafael warned ready to grab his son if needed.

Marco walked to Alex and pulled him by the neck of the t-shirt closer to him. "I never got bullied Alexander. I got beat up trying to save you" he let Alex go who now sat in shock whilst Marco stormed out.

"Are you happy now" Skye said getting up to go find Marco.

"Skye don't go find him please. He needs a little time to cool off" Rafael said. He knew how Marco could be after the past was brought up. He had anger issues and so violent outbursts weren't unusual.

"What he said was true, he was at the birthday party, he tried to stop the men but he was only 8" Rafael confirmed.

Skye decided not to listen to Rafael's warning and quickly left.

So I'm back still not 100% but I know you guys wanted an update. Hopefully it wasn't the worst. The triplets now know and Skye has gone to find Marco whilst he's prone to violent outbursts.

Also just a quick note, in the book Emilia, she will hopefully be getting self defense classes soon too because of all the abuse. And maybe the talk will come up.
