A Message... Or a New Mission?

Darkness once again envelopes her…

Cold… embraces her…

Voices…she couldn’t hear any… not even her own.

But…

A faint glow emerges from the beats of her heart.

Ba-dump…

Ba-dump…!

BA-DUMP!

“Ah!”

.

.

.

She opened her eyes… and saw herself standing in a field of glowing flora.

The sky was void of any light. Not a single heavenly body was present.

The glow from the field gave her sight.

The faint sound of her heartbeat echoes in the space…

And a soft breeze passes by, letting the grass dance along silently.

A beautiful… yet mysterious limbo she’s in.

A quiet and peaceful space where nothing can reach her.

But…

*pshp*

*pshp*

*pshp…*

The sound of footprints alerted her.

Turning around, she saw a middle aged man wearing a rusted coat of armor.

Glowing… he was glowing…

She faced the man…

…who only smiled sadly at her.

“...What…?”

He couldn’t speak, nor move.

Void of any sense of touch

He was like a husk…

.

.

.

He looks at her…and extends his hand to her.

In his hand, it was a shield-shaped emblem…

Rusty…erased from its former glory…

…yet lies a treasure cove of memories of the old past.

“Why give me this? Who are you?”

No answer.

No gesture.

He simply moved his hand…

And gave her a pat on the head…

…and a smile full of sadness and regret.

“Wh-”

He clasped his hands around hand she was holding the medal.

He looked into her eyes and…

“Find it…”

Flashes of unfamilliar images clouded her mind.

A place full of greenery…

…Noise…

…And sealed away memories

…Stop…

…It hurts…

…It hurts.

IT HURTS!!!

“Gah!”

Lynelle sat up from her bed. Beads of sweat trickles down from her body, her breathing sped up abnormally. She touched her ears, she was thankful that the noise didn’t cause her any ear damage…

Lynelle’s Pokémon were sleeping like babies. Their peaceful faces made her feel slightly better but the images didn’t leave her mind. It was almost as if the flashes from her nightmare became a core memory.

“A hillside where… drawings of the past can be found… where it that?”

Lynelle could only hope that whatever was there in that location has something to do with the medal.

She remembered the emblem's appearance very easily despite seeing it only once... for some reason. The trinket wasn’t in her hand either.  Perhaps the Gym Challenge will let her travel all over Galar and let her find the location and find that medal… and Whatever the medal was, it may have something to do with the source of her nightmares.

And she’s gonna find it.

“Maybe I should tell  Sonia about this…”
