"So, we're calling that a success, right?" Odette questioned, as she brought a glass of water to her lips once they found themselves back in the Blanchard loft after the magic lesson. "I mean... No one died. So, I'd call it a success."

"You and me both." Emma shook her head, still somewhat stunned by the events of that afternoon as she slumped down in a seat next to her all the while Regina herself shook her head at the two in an unamused manner from her spot in the kitchen. "I'm not sure how you're still alive after a year."

"Maybe that's how I got the ugly scar." Odette said thoughtfully, both her and Emma now turning to their teacher with accusatory looks in their eyes.

"I don't need my memories to know that's not how you got it." Regina said in a bland tone. "I would have taught you differently, I assume. Based on what I'd do now, that is."

"Why does she get preferential treatment?!" Emma asked in shock, straightening up in her seat again so she could glare at her godmother beside her. "Teacher's pet." She grumbled, making Odette laugh in amusement.

"She gets preferential treatment because she doesn't resist what she can do." Regina pointed out just a knock sounded at the door, pausing once Odette announced she'd get it and allowed her to continue. "She was learning about magic even before she knew she could use it. And she understood it. Meaning-"

"What are you doing here?" Odette's voice cut off both Regina and Emma and made them look over to the door, which was now open, revealing none other than Hook standing on the other side.

"Odette... I, uh, didn't expect to see you here." The surprised comment only earned him more questioning looks. What he didn't want to mention with the exceeded audience he now found focused on him was that he was looking for Emma. Hoping she'd help him with the latest predicament he'd been placed in by the Wicked Witch.

"Where's Henry? Is everything alright?" Emma appeared at Odette's side soon after, looking into the hall as she hoped to see her son climbing up to the apartment. But when she didn't, her worry only continued to grow.

"He's fine. He's with his grandparents. I thought they might be back here." Killian was quick to reassure her, eyes glancing around the apartment as if searching for the trio. "I misplaced something. Was hoping he might've seen it during our time together." He lied with ease.

"We just came back from the woods. We haven't seen them yet." Odette answered, walking away from the door and back further into the apartment, the sound of footsteps and a door closing behind her letting her know he'd followed.

"If you're not with Henry, what have you been doing all day?" Emma asked curiously.

"I was enlisted to help Ariel find her lost prince." He announced, making Odette's eyes snap back to him as she took a seat at the table with Regina. She did quite well in keeping her comments to herself. After all, how was he the best person to help someone reunite with their true love?
