It was 3 a.m and I knew I wasn't getting any more sleep so I got up, put on my shoes, grabbed my iPod and took off for my run taking a different path. Once again thought, at the two mile mark, I started feeling eyes on me. Looking around showed nothing unusual. What was going on? Clearing my thoughts, I ran another mile before heading back to my aunts house. When I got halfway back I had that feeling that someone was following. Taking a deep breath, I looked back not finding anything. I let it go as my imagination, it seems to be going haywire.
Returning back, I took a shower and got ready for the day. I headed to the kitchen and made some eggs and toast. Once done I sit down and get lost in my thoughts of my parents and how different my life really is. My thoughts get interrupted when I hear a throat clearing. "Are you going to sit there all day dreaming, or you going to clean up your mess?" my aunt said in a harsh voice.
Irritated, I snap back, "Of course I'll clean up, it's just now six in the morning." Grabbing my stuff I head to the kitchen and clean up.
A couple hours later I make my way out of my room and find my aunt reading in the living room. "I'm headed to registration," I say, grabbing my keys.
"Straight there and straight back Olivia. No screwing around," she says. I nod and head out the door.
I pulled into the school parking lot and lost hope of being here early enough that I could miss the majority. Shrugging, I got out of the truck and headed to the court yard. When heads turned I ducked my head, I didn't like attention. Luckily no one tried talking to me as I made it to the area for seniors. Grabbing a booklet, I found a bench and sat down to go through the classes they offered. I was half way through deciding classes when someone sat down beside me. Turning my head I saw a guy that I guessed to be a senior with dark hair with eyes I could get lost in.
"I'm Colton, and who might you be?" he asks.
I seem to loose my voice. Swallowing, I finally get out "Olivia."
He smiles and replies, holding out his hand, "Very nice to meet you, Olivia."
I grip his hand and I think electricity goes through me. I feel a loss when he let's go and suddenly gets up and takes of muttering to himself. Confused, I stare at his retreating figure for a moment before returning to my booklet and classes. Fnishing up, I get up and head to turn it in, looking through my list one more time. I bump into a hard chest and look up to find myself staring into light blue eyes. Taking a step back, I see the guy I ran into has not only gorgeous blue eyes but light brown hair with a serious look.
"What's your name?" his voice is gruff.
"O-o Olivia," I stutter out.
"Watch where you're going Olivia."
"I'm sorry," I whisper.
He waves his hand around, "Just watch out next time."
Nodding my head, I move around, "I will."
He nods but holds his hand out, "Liam."
I take a hold of his hand and get another jolt like I did before with Colton, and Liam seems to have the same reaction. He drops my hand and briskly walks away. What is going on? Avoiding everyone else, I finally get my class list turned in.
Heading back to my aunt's, my thoughts are on Colton and Liam and their strange behavior. Why did I feel a jolt when I shook there hands? Why was I feeling at loss now? Shaking my head, I pull into the driveway and clear my thoughts.
Being somewhere new really is messing with my imagination.
