"She knows dad" I spoke out into the phone, looking at my sister who had fell asleep on my bed. After our talk she ended up crying in my arms until she fell asleep.
I couldn't help but feel guilty...
"What do you mean she knows?" I sighed out from his response. What else would I be talking about.
"She knows about the business, the club, everything. She's known this entire time" I elaborated. I waited for him to say something, but he was quiet.
After a few moments he then spoke out, "I see"
"Well, that's alright... it was gonna happen eventually. That's all she told you?" How could he be so calm about this?
"Whenever we come back home, I want all of us to sit down and talk. Anna May wouldn't be able to fully understand but Serena and Rome-" I began.
"Do you even hear yourself Cole? Serena and Rome are still just kids. I'm not even sure if I want them to know about this part of the family! They're not ready." I felt myself get frustrated as he continued, I then turned towards the door. I knew this would happen.
It's just like the first time I asked him if I could tell Reyna. He never listens.
"Serena and Rome are practically young adults now dad. Serena is seventeen and Rome isn't that far behind, stop treating them-" I began.
"At the end of the day they're my children, not yours. I know what's best for them... listen son, just because I handed you the leadership of the company and the club, that doesn't mean I won't take it back if I feel like you're too overwhelmed-"
"This is my company now. How the hell do you go from saying I'm ready for taking over the business, to saying that I'm no longer fit for it? You didn't hand me the leadership of the club, Maddox did. Don't you forget that" I spoke out before hanging up.
When I turned around I saw that Reyna was now sitting up, watching me with a small smile, "You know, that was kind of badass. Usually you just go along with whatever he says"
I could help but roll my eyes before walking towards her pushing her slightly, "Now that you're up, you can finally get your dirty ass off my bed"
A small gasp came from her before she slapped my shoulder playfully, "Many people wanna see this ass" She told me. I couldn't help but scrunch up my face at the thought.
"Who are we talking about? Vincenzo?" I asked, teasing her. I couldn't help but laugh when her face began to turn red.
"Hell no! I don't even know that guy" She claimed as she got up from my bed, storming out.
