Just as the coach bus got there to pick Kalynn, Weston and I up to take us to theirs, snow started to fall.

"It better be snowing at home too, I swear to god." Kalynn said, lugging her suitcase up the steps onto the coach. I stuck out my tongue to catch a snowflake, looking up to the sky.

"Don't say that, you'll jinx it." Weston said, following her closely behind.

They sat down next to each-other, and I sat in the seat infront of them, taking my phone and headphones out of my bag.

"How long is the journey again?" I asked them, peeking over the gap between the seats.

"Three hours." They said in unison.

"Is now a good time to tell you guys I get travel sick?" I asked, and Kalynn facepalmed.

"Just kidding! Don't worry!" I lied, turning back around and putting my seatbelt on. I looked out the window, putting in my headphones as the bus started to move.

The whole way there I listened to all my favourite songs, feeling nervous and excited and curious about what staying at their place was going to be like. The further the journey got along, the more and more snowfall started to take place on the surrounding trees and ground.

An hour or so into the journey, a song I really loved came on, and I breathed deep and slow, closing my eyes and leaning against the window.

However long later, I woke up to the feeling of something behind my ear, and I leaned forwards a bit, touching where I felt the pressure to feel that a chunk of my hair had been half braided.

"Can you not?" I asked, turning to look over the back of the seat to look at Weston. "I'm so boredd." He replied, leaning his head back.
"And I was so asleep." I complained, glancing at Kalynn who was clearly asleep too, Jade curled up on her lap.
"Kalynn." He said, nudging her shoulder, and she pushed his hand away, pulling an annoyed expression.

"We gotta get off the coach, Kalynn. Kalynn!" He said.

"Wait really?" I asked, and he nodded. I looked out the window to see who I assumed were their parents- their mum was holding up a sign with 'Koury kids!' written on it, waving it around, and their dad had one arm resting on the open car door, grinning up at the coach. "Oh my god." I said aloud.

We got our stuff and got off the coach, the depth of the snow on the ground surprising me when I stepped into it. Kalynn rushed to hug her parents, and Weston followed soon after, all of them hugging. I trailed behind awkwardly.

"Have you grown? You've grown!" Their mom said to Weston after hugging him.
"He wishes." Kalynn teased. "Weston's gonna be a short king forever."
"Oh shut upp, dude." Weston said back, smiling. "It's good to see you guys."
I coughed, involuntarily turning everyone's attention to me.
"Dear, you must be Anais." Their mom said, smiling at me. "I'm Hillary, and this is Scott." Their dad, Scott, waved at me quickly, smiling only a little.

"Thanks for having me." I said, as Scott took my bag off of me and loaded it into the car trunk.
"Of course," Hillary said. "These two are crazy about you, so, it's our pleasure."

The three of us piled into the back, their parents turned on the radio and we started the drive to their home. I looked out the window as they all talked and caught up, staring at the snow and the houses. The drive was only around 10 minutes, but it felt longer with Weston's awful singing along to the radio from right beside me.

When we got inside, everyone took their bags inside and took off their snow covered shoes.

"Weston," Hillary said. "I need you to chop some vegetables for our dinner. Kalynn, why don't you show Anais her room?"
"Sure." Kalynn agreed, and I followed her upstairs, asking her about how long they'd lived in the house.
