You and Yoko had been together for a while now. However, when the two of you first started dating.. people talked about you a lot.

They were surprised, that a vampire would ever be with a human. You didn't have any unique abilities, or something that made you stand out.

But since you were the principals child, she wanted you to join the school.

You were sceptical at first, after everything you had heard about it.. it didn't seem like the best place to go to.

But you were proved wrong. And when your eyes landed on a certain vampire, you knew you wouldn't be leaving anytime soon.

Rumours went around Nevermore fast... too fast.

In the beginning, you were bothered by the students talking about you. But overtime, you eventually got over it. You knew that you couldn't control them.

Yoko didn't seem to care at all, she would keep a straight face. Even when people were talking about her right beside her.

You always admired that about Yoko, she could push the feelings away. They were just words after all.

You were walking through the halls, as your feet crunched against the leaves on the pavement. It was already Autumn, which was your favourite time of the year.

In the distance, you noticed someone sitting on a bench.

Still, you couldn't look away. The more you looked, the more you noticed. That the girl so happened to be Divina.

She was one of the first few people, that you had become friends with at nevermore.

When you started to walk closer, you realised that she was crying. That being said, you had already started running over to her.

Divina could already hear you coming, as she looked up at you. She soon looked away in embarrassment, covering her face with her hands.

"Hey, what's wrong?" You asked, taking a seat next to her.

She shook her head and removed her hands from her face, finally making eye contact with you.

"It's just- I just got into this stupid argument with Bianca, and-" Divina paused, taking a deep breath.

You moved to wrap your arm around her, as she kept wiping her eyes with her sleeve.

"We said things to each other.. but I said stuff that I really didn't mean. And now I just feel so guilty a-about it." Divina whispered.

You nodded. "I think you should talk to her, just try and get the two of you too apologise. Don't beat yourself up about it, it'll only make you feel worse."

Divina sighed and looked at you, she bit her lip to suppress a sob and blinked through her tears.

You couldn't help but feel sorry for her. It wasn't uncommon for her and Bianca to be fighting, but you hated seeing her like this.

When she finally started to stop crying, she leaned down to rest her head on your shoulder.
"Thank you." She whispered, putting her hand on yours.

"Don't worry about it."  You smiled.

She intertwined her fingers with yours. Even though you were comforting her.. you couldn't help but feel like Divina was getting too comfortable.

You wanted to move away, but you didn't want to seem rude.

As you looked out, you noticed a figure standing in the halls. When you got a closer look, you soon realised that it was Yoko.

The look on her face made your heart sink, you had never seen her look so upset.
