Japan? It's Japan! (Christmas continued)

The thing I like most about Japan is its tidiness. If you've ever been to Japan, everything is so tidy, neat and clean. Even if you ever go to their metro stations, you can never see a rubbish lying barren on the floor unattended. Because, clearly? Someone is going to pick it up. And even though it's super chilly in Japan when you go there at Christmas time, the vibe is so good, with all shopping malls filled with people dressing up properly to go on dates or just hang out with friends. There is nothing better than a crowded place filled with people celebrating this festive season together, to be honest.

And did I mention about their foods? Their foods. Oh my. Thier foods! I could not use any proper words to describe how good they are. They are simply, heavenly. Foods made in heaven.

Ramens with half-boiled eggs in pork broth, spaghetti with eggplants, prawns and melted cheese, matcha tea with whipped cream on top, pancakes with cream and maple syrup filled, grilled eel over rice, salmon ochazuke (go take a look on the internet if you don't know what I am talking about)...I mean, nothing beats foods in Japan! Go and taste them for yourself and you will know what I meant. And you will never miss great foods in Japan, because foods everywhere in Japan are simply beyond what words could describe.

And...don't just forget how courteous Japanese people are. After I am back to Hong Kong, I am constantly reminded of how courteous I was trained up to be when I was in Japan that I have also been bowing and nodding my head whenever I thank someone every now and then, haha! People in Japan are so polite that they have already regard this head-nodding and bowing as part of their identity. And they never act rude or indifferent to anyone, really.

There was a time when I was buying clothes from a boutique when the salesperson was asking me in Japanese. After trying on with their clothes and that I had decided to buy them, she was so kind, asking me whether I wanted her to put the clothes into my bag for me, which is a very polite and courteous gesture that I did not expect her doing. I was also holding a lot of stuff at that time whilst heading out cash to her, so I really appreciated her gesture.

And it was really cute that when they let people try on their clothes in Japan boutiques, they have hair covers or hair bands provided for you so that you don't contaminate the cleanliness of their clothing items. You also need to take off your shoes before stepping on their carpets for their fitting rooms too! Interesting, isn't it?
