The morning of the wedding, Nanon was surrounded by the women. While his mother was fixing his bow tie, his sister was trying to put some makeup on his face against his will.

"Can't you stay still for a while?"

"Can't you stop bothering me?"

Nanon and his sister Film bickered with each other about the makeup.

"Enough with the makeup, Film. My son is handsome by birth. Put a smile on your face, Nanon, and just look at yourself in the mirror. My boy is looking gorgeous." The queen was satisfied with how she had prepared her son for his wedding appearance.

The women were clucking over him constantly. Most of the things they said were admiring. How tall and slender Nanon is, how handsome he was looking in his suit. Nanon looked at his image in the mirror. He has to admit, the suit was beautiful, and he was looking good in it.

"Nong Nanon, you're looking outstanding. I'm sure Prince Pawat can't take his eyes off you." Princess Tu complimented her brother-in-law.

"Nanon, there's a call for you."  Prince Bright came with Nanon's cellphone.

"Thanks, Phi. Who's on the phone, phi?"

"P'Nature." Bright answered to which Nanon's face lit up with happiness, but  annoyance appeared on his mother's face.

"Mama!" That's what Nanon was managed to say to his favourite person.

"Non, how are-" Before the person on the other end, if the call could say anymore, King Kirdpan marched into his son's room.

"Why are you taking so long? Finish it quickly." The king commanded.

"We are about to leave, Your Highness." The queen rapidly before her husband got angry.

"Let's wait outside, dad. Once Nanon finishes the call, he and the ladies will join us downstairs." Bright tried to calm his father.

"Call? Who gave him his cellphone today without my permission? He yelled.

Everything that Nanon was going to say to P'Nature stuck in his throat.

"I did, dad." Bright answered firmly."I know every moment of this day counts, but it's P'Nature's call."

"It doesn't matter who it is."

"It matters, dad, for Nanon, at least. P'Nature is no less than his family, but she is not here today, on the big day of his life. None of us is as close to him as she is. She is worried about him, and he is missing her. She might be just a maid or nanny for us, but for Nanon, he doesn't call her 'mama' for nothing. In this situation, she is nor here but her words can comfort him." Bright took a pause. "I know what matters for you is the treaty, it's not less important for me but just for once, can't we stop being the king and the prince, instead being a father and a brother we can try to understand Nanon, just for today." Bright left the room followed by his fiancé.

"Non, always be happy, my son." The lady cut the call, giving her blessing to Nanon.

"Stop looking back, Nanon. Focus on the future ahead. Chittsawangdees are your family, and this is your home. You love us, we love you, okay, fine. But now you need to love them as your own people. Remember, you are already one of them. They are your family. You have done your duty well as a prince of the Kirdpan family. Now, dedicate yourself to your new family and their kingdom." The King made out his way of the room.

"P'Nanon, don't cry. You will spoil the makeup." Princess Film showed her concern.

"Your dad is right." The queen told her son. "You have done what could be done for us now. All your responsibilities are towards Prince Pawat and his family. Look, Nanon, they are not your family. You are an outsider. Try your best to fit in. You need to make a place for you here. Always take care of them, especially of Prince Pawat. Never disappoint him. You know what is required for a happy conjugal life and do everything to make it successful. The queen already likes you it won't take you long to become one of them. Be a good husband to the prince. Don't disappoint anyone of us." Nanon's mother kissed the cheeks of her son and dragged him outside with her.
