I hummed along to the radio, washing up and just spending some time alone while my son played with his toys upstairs as I waited for my teenage daughter to get home from school.

I heard the door slam before hearing a not so subtle, "mum!"

"I'm in the kitchen!" I called back to her as she walked in, tears threatening to leave her eyes.

"What's wrong?" I asked, worriedly as I rushed to her side almost immediately.

"C-can I talk to you?" She asked quietly as I nodded.

"Of course you can, you can talk to me about anything." I told her as we both sat down at the kitchen table.

"I didn't want to say anything before because it wasn't that bad then, but now... I can't get away from it, from them." She said, shaking her head as tears threatened to fall.

"Get away from who baby?" I spoke softly, not wanting her to cry.

Y/D/N was usually so happy, she was equally close to me and Harry and she would come to any of us if she had a problem. We had such a laugh together about little things and she was so talkative, so seeing her so upset and quiet was worrying me.

"The people at my school, the ones that bully me." She admitted as my eyes widened.

She was so vulnerable, at fourteen. I'd always see her as my little girl and hearing this broke my heart.

"Do they physically hurt you? Tell me everything, I'm here to listen and you have to understand that this is important and needs to be stopped so it's important that you tell me everything." I told her seriously as she nodded.

"I know," she whispered, tears escaping her eyes as she wiped them, taking in a deep breath before continuing.

"At first it was just name calling and I know that's serious too, but it wasn't all of the time, just sometimes and I thought I could deal with it. But then it started happening more often until it got to the point of hearing people call me names every day," she began.

"It was just two girls at first but now it's more people, there's four of them now and today at lunch one of them pushed me over and she tipped my books out onto the floor...it's just scaring me now and I don't know what to do." She sobbed uncontrollably as I rubbed her back gently.

"It's okay to cry darling, let it all out." I told her.

"If I tell a teacher it could get worse because I told on them." She cried as I looked up, almost jumping when I noticed Harry standing there.

He looked upset, confused and annoyed and I motioned for him to come in.

"Hey Y/D/N," he spoke softly as she turned around quickly.

"Dad, w-what are you doing here?" She stuttered as he laughed slightly.

"I live here," he stated and she smiled weakly.

"Why didn't you tell us sooner?" He asked her, sitting down next to me as he took my hand in his, squeezing it gently.

He knew how much I worried about her at the best of times, especially in a situation like this, so I was thankful to have Harry by my side.

"I didn't want to get them into trouble, I thought I would make things worse and I thought they would stop or not do it often." She explained.

"Even if they don't do it often, it's still important. It's serious and it's not something to be taken lightly. I understand teachers might not do much, but now we know we can help you." Harry reassured her.

"How?" She asked.

"Well instead of you walking to school, we can drive you and drop you off on time instead of early so that they can't get to you in the mornings or after school because we will be waiting to pick you up." Harry explained.

"But what if they see you and ask if I've told on them?" She said, worriedly.

"Y/D/N, stop worrying okay? If they ask you that just ignore them and carry on walking, our car won't be far away and we will be able to see if they try and hurt you." Harry answered.

"Let's just start with this yeah? See how it goes." I offered.

"But what about at lunch times and lesson times?"

"How many lessons do you have with them?" Harry asked.

"I don't have any with them thankfully, but they might wait for me afterwards and at lunch times." She explained.

"I could ask to stay in at lunch to do some work, but they would find a way to catch me." She added.

"Listen, we will pick you up from school and drop you off anyway because we worry about you and we want to make sure your safe. But we need to see the head teacher or someone about this." Harry said, sighing as she shook her head.

"You can't keep avoiding the problem though darling, it could get worse." Harry said.

"Just see how it goes, yeah?" She said, avoiding Harry's remark to talk to someone else about it.

"Okay, but if anything else happens you will at least tell us won't you?" I asked and she nodded.

"Were not going to pressure you into telling someone else straight away if you tell us, but we need to know and after seeing the teacher, if it doesn't work there's always the decision to put you in another school." Harry offered.

"You get bullies no matter where you go." She sighed, drying her eyes.

"Try and think positively, we will get through this together. Your not alone." I told her and she smiled.

"I know, thank you both, I love you both." She said, giving us both a hug.

"We love you too." I spoke as Y/D/N went to watch TV.

"Are you okay?" Harry asked me.

"Yeah, I'm just a bit surprised. I didn't realise it was happening to her and I want nothing more than to go to her school and tell the head teacher." I sighed and Harry wrapped his arms around me for a hug.

"Me too, but we need to make sure she's alright and we need to be there for her. She can trust us." Harry said, kissing my forehead.

"We will get through this won't we?" I asked, needing some kind of confirmation.

"We will, we have each other and she has us. We just need to be strong for her, okay baby?" Harry said reassuringly.

"Okay." I mumbled, kissing him gently.

"I love you." He muttered.

"I love you too."

To anyone who is being bullied, stay strong! It's so difficult and it feels like your so alone and so irrelevant and not worth it and I know that feeling well, but you are worth it to someone and your here for a reason. Asking for help makes you strong because you have been brave to make that decision.

I love you all and I hope you are all okay<3

Feedback is much appreciated<3
