"What time will you be home?" You asked Harry over the phone.
It was the day before your birthday and you hadn't seen much of Harry lately because he had been so busy with work. You'd bumped into Niall at the supermarket yesterday and he looked exhausted too and you could see that it had really taken it's toll on the boys.
"I'm on my way home now baby, I'm walking, I'll be home in a minute." He said, tiredly.
"Okay." you said as he hung up and a few minutes later, the door opened and he walked in.
"Hey, you okay?" You asked him as he walked in.
"I'm okay, just really tired, I think I'm going to head to bed." He told you.
"Okay, are you working tomorrow?" You asked.
You could see how tired he was and you didn't want to go out anywhere for your birthday, you just wanted a quiet day in with Harry where you could both relax and enjoy the day.
"No, I'm not working for the next two days." He stated, his hair messy on his face and his eyes heavy with sleep.
"Oh, okay." You smiled, glad that he wasn't working on your birthday.
He smiled back slightly, before turning to go to your shared bedroom to go to sleep.
It was around eight in the evening and you were worried about him, you wondered if he had forgotten your birthday, knowing that Niall mentioned it when you spoke to him the other day.
Why wouldn't he mention it? Maybe he hasn't forgot, surely he wouldn't do. You thought.
You sighed, watching TV for another few hours before heading to bed yourself.

The next morning you woke up, with Harry still asleep next to you as you got up, taking your phone off of charge to see twitter mentions and messages off of your friends and family as well as from the boys, who you had received a text from each.
Niall:
"Happy birthday Y/N ! Have a good day !!"
Louis:
Happy birthday, have a good day whatever your doing!!
Liam:
Hey Y/N, happy birthday from me and Sophia :) xx
You smiled, sending a thank you message back to all of the boys and getting up to go downstairs for some breakfast.
You didn't expect Harry to be up early, but it was already two in the afternoon and he was still asleep.
A few minutes later, you checked your phone to see that you had received a text message from Niall:
Niall:
Hey Y/N, how's your day been? x
You:
It's been alright, but I haven't really done much, Harry's still asleep x
Niall:
Aw, do you wanna come out with me for a bit ? I'm bored ! x
You thought about it, deciding that it would be good to do something with your birthday instead of sitting around doing nothing.
You texted back saying you would meet him and got ready to go, deciding to leave Harry a post it note on the fridge where he usually goes for food when he gets up, writing a quick note:
I've gone out with Niall for a bit, see you later,
Y/N. xx
You stuck the note to the fridge, before getting your keys and phone and leaving, meeting Niall at his place not far away from where you live.
