michonne and reader reunite at alexandria after not seeing each other since the prison

'aaron should be back with the group soon.' deanna informed me. 'do you think you could stay here to greet them once they arrive?'

'of course. anything.' i nodded, waiting by the gates for my best friend here, aaron, to come back with a group they were trying to find.

i hadn't been told anything about them but the fact that there was a group made me miss mine. we were staying in a prison when it got raided by some prick who called himself 'the governor'. it was a good group. we all protected each other. but i especially missed my best friend and love of my life, michonne. she was always there for me but we were separated during the attack on the prison and i couldn't find any of them after that.

luckily i found alexandria not long after and they took me in, gave me a place to live and took care of me.

it wasn't long left before aaron came back with a whole group of people with him. there were quite a few. some i didn't know, but some i recognised immediately.

rick, carl, glenn, maggie, etc. all i could think was 'is michonne there? please say she's okay' and as if by magic, the second i thought of her, she stepped out.

'michonne!' i screamed, walking over to her, pulling her in and embracing her in a hug. she wrapped her arms back around me, making me hold her even tighter, taking in the smell of the tired, sweaty, but always amazing woman.

'you know each other?' aaron questioned as we stepped back from one another, both smiling.

'i told you about the prison, this was the group i was with. rick is my brother and i met michonne when she came back to the prison from woodbury where the governor was.' i explained.

'well you're back together now.' he smiled. he knew i loved michonne. even michonne didn't know but i told aaron and i could tell he was happy that i had her back. and i was really thankful that he brought her to me.

i saw him sneakily wink at me as he walked off before i looked into michonnes eyes, smiling at her for the first time in ages.'
