At the park, Jay and Kendra sat side by side. Kendra was curious to know the reason for his absence in school.
"So,
you missed school today.
Care to tell why?"

"Nothing serious. I just had some things to talk about with Tristan."

Kendra was furious.
"What? What about classes, your future, friends? Your little talk was more important than all of these things?"

Jay was confused. He didn't understand why Kendra was so mad.
"Kendra, please take a chill. I'm sorry. I should have let you know."

After scolding Jay, Kendra was surprised herself.

First i hugged him

Now this?

Who do you think you are Kendra, his girlfriend?

Still lost in her thoughts, she did not hear Jay calling.
"Kendra! Are you there?"

"Yes, yes...you were saying?"

"I was asking about Mandy, your friend."

"Oh, why?"

He chuckled.
"Nothing. I'm sure she missed Tristan today. Since he wasn't in school as well."

Kendra studied his face. "Don't tell me you know she has a crush on Tristan."

Finally, Jay laughed out loud.
"It really is obvious, and damn! She gives him the looks."

At that, they both laughed together. Then Kendra thought she should seize the opportunity to know if Tristan shared the same feelings with Mandy.
"So what about Tristan? Does he like her too?"

Jay shrugged.
"I wouldn't know that."

Kendra humphed.
"You should know that. He's your friend Jay." Suddenly, an idea hit her
"What if, we help them get together."

"What? No way!
I ain't playing cupid with you."

Kendra pleaded with puppy eyes.
"Please Jay, please. Help me out with this one. Mandy really likes him."

Jay groaned. "But we don't even know if Tristan likes her."

Kendra clapped her hands. "Then we could find out if we do this." She pouted and batted her eyelashes.
"Please Jay, you said you were my friend right?"

Jay could only laugh at her attempt of trying to act cute. Whatever she was doing was working on him. He was already thinking of changing his mind.
"Alright, alright. I'll help."

"Hurray!" She jumped around excitedly.

Jay could only smile at her.
"You're so happy about this?"

She nodded.
"Uh huh. I'm happy. It's going to be fun."

Jay wondered how she could find happiness in the smallest of things. There was never a dull moment with her. He could only pray that time went slower, so he could have more time with her. They continued chatting for the rest of their time at the park.
