Being the first to wake up in the morning was something I enjoyed every second of. Tweedledum and Tweedledee drank themselves into a comatose sleep and were still passed out in their beds. It allowed me to snap a picture of Seo drooling all over his pillow. Having leverage was rule number one in the world we lived in.

I unscrewed the cap of the jerrycan to refuel the snow cats. The cold nipped at my unprotected fingers, slowly turning a faint pink. With a slight tremble, I poured the gasoline into the tank. My evenly pink nose hid beneath my monogram LV scarf. I thanked my brain to make coffee before I went outside and quickly wrapped my hands around the steamy mug that waited for me on the table in the backyard when I was done.

"Hmm." The steam curled around my nose, making it runny. I sniffed and took a sip of the bitter brown that was heaven-sent. The hot liquid slid through my throat, feeling the warmth spread over my chest. For like three blissful seconds I enjoyed the silent morning before it would all turn to shit, like rain on snow.

"Stay away from my little cousin!" Before I could complete my turn around, I felt Lee's knuckles bury into my jaw. But the strangest part was that I felt a sudden relief washing over me, hitting me faster than his jab. His cousin? And when it dawned on me that I was relieved because there was no romantic relationship between the two, it hit me even harder than Lee's strength behind his fist. My butt catching the hard, snowy surface didn't even compare. The hot coffee scorched the skin of my neck, staining my over one mill Korean won scarf, but even that didn't seem to register.

My hand was placed over my aching jaw and I blinked several times at Lee hovering over me.

"Keep your manwhore paws off of him. I don't want his kind soul tainted by your venom. Back off Hwang, I swear I'll end you this time." Anger vibrated through his body, shaking his fists by his side. His hair was still dripping wet, a flushed face beneath that told me that he ran—or more like plodded—through the snow to get to my chalet. Get to me. Get to...

Oh God... now everything settled in my brain. He knows.

I ignored the throbbing pain in my jaw and quickly scrambled back up. I felt the coffee trickle down into my sweater as I stood, but my mind was far too busy coming up with something witty to fire back at him like he always did with me.

But nothing came to mind. I could only stare at him. Everything about him screamed that he practically teleported himself here after he heard the news. He never took a moment to zip up his jacket. His wet hair that I noticed before, lay a little frizzy and curled over his forehead, decorated with powdered snow that had probably fallen from the trees.
