Mark entered the mansion after punching in the pin, slamming the door shut behind him as soon as he stepped inside. He cracked his neck and knuckles before heading to the elevator.
Once the elevator reached the base, he strides through the spacious room towards the equipment to remove his earpiece and tracker.
He secured the pocket knife in his pocket as he went over to the corner of the room that had a door. He opened the door and was met with a flight of stairs downwards.
He jogged down the stairs of the dark staircase as a wooden door with a circular hook for a handle and a sliding lock was present.
Mark pushed the lock to undo it, pulling the handle of the door open which made a slow creaking noise wail.
The room was dimly lit by candles as brick walls surrounded the platform. The room was all empty, except for the tied up figure that leaned unconscious on a wooden chair.
Jeno appeared from behind the figure, giving Mark a subtle nod before he went to guard the door.
It was game time.
Mark's smirk grew devilishly, the corners of his cheeks risen as his hooded eyes darkened. He inched loser towards the man, pulling out his pistol that was in his back pocket.
He brought it up to his own mouth to breath hot air on it, rubbing the fog away afterwards before sliding the tip of the pistol from the man's forehead down to his neck.
The cold metal of the gun had stirred the man awake and his head that was leaned back from the chair was lazily lifting back up.
He tiredly fluttered his eyes open with a wince in a pain, only to meet Mark's blank yet demanding and fearful eyes which made him flinch.
"Good morning," Mark lowly spoke, his gun traveling back up to the man's temple which made him shiver with fear.
"W-why am I here?" He managed to speak as Mark roughly grabbed his jaw to make sure he does not lose eye contact.
The man shook with even more fear, his eyes barely open to look at Mark. And Mark liked it this way. He loved the fear he created within people sometimes.
"I'm the one asking the questions," Mark commanded sternly, his grip tightening on the man's jaw.
The man's breathing quicken as his winced in pain from the pressuring pushing through his jaw.
The man had long blonde hair which was a bowl cut style. His face had a sharp yet soft distinct feature. His brown ears were shaped as almonds and his nose was round.
He was in a light purple button up shirt that had a little flower designer on the collar. Mark had a feeling he could be their next lead to their mission.
"Are we gonna kiss or are you going to start asking questions?" The man gathered the courage to spill out as Mark harshly removed his grasp from his jaw with a click of his tongue, drawing his gun back.
A punch to the face was the last of what the man was expecting at this moment. It was so sudden and unexpected as the impact made his head fly back, almost giving him a whiplash.
"Why were you outside of the old base?" Mark questioned sharply.
With his hands and legs being restrained to the wooded chair, the man could not cup his cheek that had been punched.
"I d-don't know what you're talking about," the man forced out his words with a groan.
"You were there for a reason so what was it?" Mark asked differently.
