"They're coming soon. I know we're attacking in three days, but they're just as ready as we are so we need to stay on guard at all times. No distractions, no joking around, nothing of that," Mark commanded.
They were holding a last minute meeting as soon as Mark returned with Donghyuck to the base.
The younger was still shocked about his grandparents but the only thing on his mind right now was vengeance.
His grandparents should not have had to pass away like that, they still had a few more years left in them..maybe even more but Seventeen took that away from Donghyuck and it made him angry.
Mark knew this all too well, picturing himself when he was a child.
He remembers being in Donghyuck's shoes once when his mother had passed away...it was a dangerous and scary place he was in.
And because of this, he feels bad that the younger is going through this right now because he knows how it feels to lose someone you love and care about..
..the pain that embodies with it and sticks with you forever.
This is all the more reason to eliminate Seventeen and their leader once and for all.
Mark already had beef with them, a really large problem actually, wanting to seek revenge on the antagonistic leader as well for what he did to him but now it was not on him; Donghyuck did too.
Murder was on their mind.
But one of them had to be sane enough to control their emotions out on the field, otherwise it was going to be a bloody nightmare.
Let us hope that one of them can channel it.
"This is a very serious matter and time is ticking," Mark's voice rumbled in the meeting room as the members nodded their heads.
"Keep your weapons nearby at all times until we reach or moment. We need to make sure they don't try to sneak shit behind our backs. But if they do, we'll be ready," Mark smirked as he lowly stated.
"Is this where we begin our plan, boss?" Jisung asked with a hand raised in the air.
Mark nodded, affirming Jisung's question.
"We begin plan one of many."
"Yes, boss!" Jisung responded.
"Go to your stations and be on the look out. You guys know the drill and the rotation schedule," Mark reminded as the members left the meeting room to go down to the base to gather the weapons their best with.
Donghyuck had been silent the entire time, just listening to what Mark was saying as he was still seated at the table when everyone left.
"Donghyuck, let's go. Prepare your weapon," Mark instructed with a hand gesture that told the younger to follow him.
However, Donghyuck stayed put.
His mind was obviously somewhere else and Mark could hear the voices in Donghyuck's head screaming at him and telling him how the younger is at fault for what happened to his grandparents.
"Donghyuck!" Mark called out to pull the younger out of his thoughts, gaining his attention. "Let's go." He demanded.
Donghyuck stood up and left the meeting room, Mark releasing a heavy sigh and following the younger down to the base.
The younger's mind was still elsewhere, still pushing the blame on himself and how if Donghyuck was there, it would have never happened.
But Mark knew that was not true. Seventeen still would have attacked and killed the younger's grandparents—if not Donghyuck and maybe even killing both them and Donghyuck—even if he was there.
