The mini vacation NCT had for the week ended up being the best thing that had happened to them, allowing a restful break after these past long hardworking weeks.

This also means that Mark and Donghyuck had gone on their first day several days ago as well.

Mark had taken Donghyuck on a stroll through the city in the evening so that they could be able to watch the sunset—very romantic the younger thought—on their way to the cemetery.

Mark had introduced Donghyuck to his mother and the two of them sat there talking to her about their crazy relationship.

The older could tell his mother was laughing in her grave as wind blew through the roots of their hair.

And while they were at it, Mark took him to visit the younger's grandparents to give them a proper goodbye that he had not been able to do since he found them dead so abruptly.

It was a bittersweet moment as Donghyuck missed his grandparents dearly but he was so happy Mark was right there next him, introducing him to them.

Their date ended with them holding hands in Mark's car as the older drove with one hand, the windows rolled all the way down as music filled the air in the comfortable silence between them.

Donghyuck had butterflies swarming in his stomach each time Mark slowly brought the back of his hand up to place a gently kiss on it each time they were stopped at a red traffic light.

On the other hand...

Taeyong had been stuck at the base most of the time but one time, he stepped out for a little while.

The next part is what gets interesting for Mark.

"Mark I'm telling you. She looked exactly like her," Taeyong swore as Mark raised a brow at his older brother.

"So then did you go talk to her?" Mark asked as Taeyong shook his head.

"Why would I do that? She probably has a destined soulmate," Taeyong sighed.

"You'd be surprised of all the things the world is capable of," Mark stated as a matter of factly before heading to the security room where Renjun, Donghyuck, and Jaemin—yes Jaemin officially moved in the other day—sat together.

"Renjun!" Mark called out as the Chinese groaned.

"What now?" He grumpily asked.

"I need you to do some research on Yeonhee which was Taeyong's precious soulmate. Find the closest related identity's in the city," Mark instructed as Renjun sighed.

"Did Taeyong Hyung see someone who looked like his soulmate?" Donghyuck, the quick witted male, picked up on as Mark nodded.

The older realized he had not greeted Donghyuck properly so while Renjun typed away, Mark went over to Donghyuck to plant a kiss on top of his head while Jaemin cooed out loud.

Donghyuck's cheeks reddened at the sweet and innocent gesture, the attention that was on him in the room made him shy.

"Okay I ran a scan through the city of all the people living here. And the person whose identity is most closest to Yeonhee's physical wise is Kim Dahyun," Renjun announced as Mark hummed.

"Check her background with soulmates," Mark demanded as Renjun did so.

He really wanted his older brother to be as happy as he could be and hopefully this could be the source of it.

Taeyong deserves it after all the years he spent protecting Mark.

"Her soulmate died years ago in an accident," Renjun reported. "It does not specify what kind of accident but let me look into it."
