For the second time, Donghyuck had woken up and this time instead of asking any questions or observing where he was, he shot right up.

Though, he immediately regretted it due to the head rush that followed with his quick movements.

He clutched his head with a groan as a low chuckle came from beside of him, making him turn his head towards the sound.

"Good morning, angel boy."

That voice that Donghyuck found so frightening yet attractive and hated at the same exact time because it came from Mark.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Donghyuck spat, crossing his arms.

Mark let a smirk plaster on his face as he stood up from the stool he was sitting on, Donghyuck standing right in front of him with an annoyed look.

"Why? Can't I be here?" Mark innocently asked, his hands raised in the air defensively.

"I can't stand you near me so no you can't be here," Donghyuck sassed as Mark chuckled dryly.

"Well then I guess you're not in luck because I live here," Mark shrugged, licking his bottom lip.

Donghyuck jaw went slightly agape as he stepped back, making him stumble in front of the hospital bed and land on top of it.

Mark leaned over the younger with a proud smirk, bending closer to inch near Donghyuck's face which made the tanned male's breath hitch.

"Be careful, angel. I can't have my soulmate hurt now can't I?" Mark pushed his lips forward with a grin while Donghyuck was holding his breath.

With a hard shove, Donghyuck pushed Mark away from so he could stand back up again and regain his breath.

"You're not my soulmate!" Donghyuck protested as Mark scoffed.

Donghyuck's face was flushed with anger and being flustered. Mark thought it was cute especially since the younger was acting this way in his own hoodie.

"I am," Mark stated the obviously but Donghyuck refused to believe it.

"Stop fucking with me. Leave me alone already. I already get it. You're going too far and all I did was pull through with a dare. It's not that serious," Donghyuck complained with a ramble, pacing back and forth in front of the hospital bed.

"Oh baby..." Mark started, gently grabbing a hold of Donghyuck's wrist which made the younger and himself feel a tingled sensation in their bodies. "It's not a dare anymore and it is very much serious."

For some reason, Donghyuck shuddered at Mark's words. Could it be because of the way he said it? Or could it be because of the hold he has on him?

Whatever it was, Donghyuck could not stand the way his body felt like submitting every single time Mark opened up his mouth.

"We're soulmates," Mark deadpanned as Donghyuck scoffed, pushing away his nerves.

"No we're not. My soulmate's name is Minhyung. Your name is Mark so you're obviously not him," Donghyuck retorted with a logical sense, which only made Mark burst out into laughter.

Donghyuck tiled his head in confusion, not liking the way Mark was laughing at him for no reason.

The older dug in his back pocket, pulling out a leather name brand wallet. He opened it up to hold his drivers license in display for the younger.

Donghyuck scanned his license with his eyes, not liking what he was seeing at all.

It was a photo of Mark, who had blonde hair at the time, and his legalized name in the country.

Lee Minhyung.

Just like what Donghyuck's soulmate tattoo read.

Donghyuck felt like passing out. He did not want Mark to have such control over him and he had to get out of there as soon as possible.

"Surprised are we, Donghyuck?" Mark taunted and saying his actual name, made the younger feel a tightness in his stomach that he could not make out the reason for it.

Donghyuck's cheeks heated, staring into Mark's sharp alluring brown eyes. There was something in Mark's eyes that were screaming at Donghyuck, assuring that he would be okay.

But maybe Donghyuck misread it.

Mark was a cold hearted person. There was no way that Donghyuck would be okay with him. Being around the older was like a death wish.

Fear washed Donghyuck all over again and Mark did not make it any better with the way he put his wallet away while intensely staring at him.

Donghyuck broke the eye contact to grab his phone that was on the counter beside his bloodies shirt. He looked around the room for the exit, finding it and heading towards the automatic sliding doors.

"What are you doing?" Mark interjected, ultimately freezing Donghyuck in his spot.

"I'm getting the hell out of here," Donghyuck spat before walking out into an unfamiliar scenery of the spacious building.

Mark tsked. He was not supposed to let Donghyuck roam around the mansion or leave with him unaware that this was a mafia base.

It was for the protection of the gang. No one from the outside was allowed to come in or out of the mansion without being blindfolded or unconscious.

But Mark was sure Donghyuck was going to know about it soon so he was not really worried.

Besides, Donghyuck had no one to tell where NCT lived anyway because his only other friend was Jaemin whose soulmate is also part of the gang.

"Let me take you home," Mark suggested, heavy footsteps following behind Donghyuck who scurried inside the building absolutely lost.

Mark internally cooed at Donghyuck's cuteness when he does not know where he is going.

"No. I want to be away from you. I fucking hate you," Donghyuck said without shame.

To say that stung a little bit in Mark's heart was an understatement but he knew he should not take it to heart.

His goal still was to make Donghyuck fall head over heels for him just like that was he is for the younger.

"You let me take you nice and calmly or I force you and knock you out cold," Mark threatened which made Donghyuck freeze again. "So which is it going to be?" Mark raised a brow, placing a hand on his hip.

Donghyuck chewed the inside of his cheek before hesitantly walking over to Mark.

Definitely not a good start to trying to make Donghyuck head over heels for him...
