Donghyuck was currently in Mark's car, feeling extremely out of place for being in such a luxury car.
It was silent. Nothing was heard but the engine.
Donghyuck decided on texting Jaemin to let him know that he would be on his way now and to thank him for taking care of things while he was gone.
It was almost six in the morning, the sun was beginning to rise and the air was slightly chill.
The tension in the vehicle made Donghyuck anxious, but of course, he was too prideful to let it show. However, it was quite obvious to Mark—the older internally snickering to himself.
Mark arrived in front of Donghyuck's apartment complex, the younger shuffling out of the car immediately with his shirt and not a single thank you.
Donghyuck slammed the passenger door shut as he hurried to inside the building while Mark drove off.
"Wait," Donghyuck paused, speaking out loud to himself. "How did he know I lived here?"
His confusion was through the roof.
He had so many questions that were left unanswered because he was too caught up in the moment to ask.
It had been confirmed that he and Mark were in fact soulmates, but did he want to believe it? No.
He wanted to stay away from Mark as much as possible. There was no way they were soulmates and he did not care if their names were inked on each other's body.
After climbing the flight of steps, he entered his apartment and headed straight to his room to lie down on his bed face front with a groan.
This was all just a bad dream...or at least that is what Donghyuck is trying to convince himself.
Meanwhile Mark drove back with a smile on his face. He knew the effect he had over Donghyuck but at the same time it made him a bit upset that the younger wants nothing to do with him.
But just as Donghyuck said it himself, challenge accepted.
To be safe, he drove to Donghyuck's pub to make sure there were no other creeps lingering outside. He wanted to make sure it was okay for the younger to return back to work later.
He did a quick little drive by, his eyes scanning for anything suspicious that may or may not come into his view. And when the coast was clear, Mark headed back to the base to take care of some business that should have been taken care up yesterday afternoon.
Entering the base after parking his car in the garage, he headed straight to the bottom floor and ignored any greetings that came from his members.
Taking a bucket from the storage room, he filled it up with cold water before taking it with him to the dungeon room.
The scarred man was asleep with his back against the stone floor but Mark had other plans to wake him up, throwing the bucket of cold water on top of his face.
The man's eyes widened as he choked on the water, snorting in as he sat up while coughing loudly and breathing heavily.
"Sleep well?" Mark tiled his head, his tongue poking the inside of his cheek.
The man looked up towards Mark, trying to stand up to make a run for it but immediately fell back down due to his head spinning and his limbs chained to the wall.
Mark was technically supposed to wait until the afternoon to do this but his body was itching to kill the man already for hurting his soulmate.
"What the fuck is going on?" The man asked, trying to pull his arms to break free from the chains which only restrained him even more. "Let me go! What sick game are you playing?!"
