(3rd Person POV)

It was the end of the day, around the same time the Misfit Class was earning their ranks. A trio of troublemakers was loitering in a hallway. One was holding a bat,

"Haha, hey guys, watch this!" The bat wielding demon exclaimed. The other two watched as he used the bat to smash a window. There were scattered glass shards everywhere. The other two demons laughed,

"Nice one! Do it again!" One proclaimed. The other demon nodded in agreement. The bat wielding demon proceeded to break window after window. They were all laughing. Some female demons suddenly shouted out from outside,

"Hey! Watch where you swing that! You almost hit us with the glass!" The trio looked out the window at the girls. The bat wielding demon chuckled,

"Oh I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" He then held up the bat, "I'll aim for you this time!!"

Before he could swing the bat, a group of wires suddenly wrapped around the top half of the bat. Upon noticing the predicament, all three demons looked at the wires shocked,

"Trying to hurt girls, are we?" A coy voice asked behind them, "You know we don't allow that." All three demons went stiff as they slowly turned to look at the demon speaking to them.

He had black hair formed into a small pomp, and purple eyes with striking winged makeup. Along with that, he also forgo the usual uniform. Instead he wore a loose fitting t-shirt, baggy pants, gray loafers, and the most striking detail of all, a long white jacket with golden embroidered designs on the left side. He also was holding a cane. The troublemakers were frozen in terror, recognizing the demon,

"H-Hey now w-we were just..." the swinging demon attempted to defend himself. However, the intimidating demon yanked his wires away from the demon, snatching his bat, before he punched said demon in the face. The demon shouted out and collapsed,

"Hey! You bastard!" The other two demons rose up in fury. Before either could make a move though, they were stopped by two equally dressed demons, one short and one tall. Within mere seconds, the demons were on the floor in agonizing pain. The lead demon scoffed as he grabbed the main perpetrator,

"If you ever pull a stunt like that again, I'll kill you." He threatened. When the demon nodded in panicked understanding, the lead demon beamed, suddenly doing a 180 in demeanor,

"Wonderful! Goodbye now!" He let the demon go before walking away, the other two allies of his following behind.

Who were these demons? This group of demons was feared and respected by all. They were upholders of wrongdoings, but they weren't innocent of any crimes either. They were a delinquent group unlike the rest. They were... The Crazy Diamonds.

"Looks like the misfit class finally got done with their ranking." The shorter demon said, looking out the window. The leader snapped his head in the direction of the window before zooming over, looking out with an excited grin,

"I wonder what rank Mon-Mon got!" He exclaimed excitedly,

"Relax Daiya." The shorter demon scoffed, "You'll see when you guys get home."

"Besides he probably got Alef." The taller demon mentioned. The leader, Daiya's, response was to smack the demon upside the head,

"Don't be ridiculous Kit! Mon's got the home field advantage being an Owada!" Daiya scolded the tall demon with a firm huff. The smaller demon squinted his eyes,

"I think that chick that ended up on the board yesterday is there too." He mentioned. Curiously, Daiya looked back out,

"Oh yeah! She supposedly summoned that ten-tailed Kitsune!" He said surprised. He hummed, taking a small notepad out from his jacket pocket. While the other two were distracted, Daiya flipped through his notepad to the most recent entries. It was all small notes he took regarding the new student. Something about her confounded him, and he wanted to learn more.

"Oi! I'm home!" Mondo exclaimed lazily, retracting his wings,

"Welcome home Mon-Mon!" Daiya exclaimed, zooming over to the pompadour demon, "I heard you got your ranks today! What did you get?" Mondo chuckled a little and flaunted his badge to Daiya,

"Gimel! That's wonderful Mon!" Daiya cheered happily. Mondo shrugged with a chuckle,

"Eh it's not that impressive. Mania got Dalet." He mentioned. Daiya perked up curiously,

"Mania? That's the girl that summoned the Kitsune right?" He asked,

"Yeah." Mondo replied. He then remembered the conversation he had with Gonta earlier. He turned to look at Daiya,

"Say... does the word... "friends" ring a bell to you Dai?" He asked. Daiya blinked surprised,

"Where did you hear that word?" He asked,

"From Gonta." Mondo replied, "He said Mania taught him that word."

"Interesting..." Daiya tapped his chin, "Sorry Mon, doesn't ring a bell." He chuckled. Mondo nodded with a shrug, silently going to his room. When he was alone, Daiya quickly pulled out his notepad,

"Friends. Those books the old man left behind mentioned that word." He muttered, writing down more notes, "It's a human word. So then..." he paused for a moment. Was he jumping to a conclusion? No, he couldn't be. All the evidence has aligned for him to reach this theory. Daiya grinned as he circled the last sentence he wrote on the notepad:

"Mania = Human!"
