Chapter 33: First Step

At night Sidharth came home with a form in his hand. He was looking very happy and excited.

On the other hand, Naaz was waiting for him to return. She wanted to tell him about her admission.

"Sidharth mujhe aap se kuch baat karni hai." Said Naaz as soon as he came.

"I know tum kya kehna chahti ho. You want to know about the surprise, right?" He said hiding the form behind.

Before Naaz could reply, Sidharth said, "Just come with me."

He took her to the room and made her sit on the bed.

"Now forward your hand and close your eyes." Said Sidharth.

"But why?" Asked Naaz.

"Just do it nah!"

Naaz nodded her head in disbelief and did as per his instructions.

Sidharth sat beside her and handed her the form.

Naaz opened her eyes and was surprised to see the form in her hand.

"This is the best college in Bareilly for studying journalism. Internet pe bohut search karne ke baad I came to know about this college. Waaha ka admission form hai. I can assure you yaaha se tumhe best education milegi. Just fill it up." Said Sidharth.

Suddenly Naaz started feeling guilty. Her eyes welled up seeing the form. Sidharth planned so much for her and what did she do? She got herself admitted to another college without his consent. How did she become so selfish?

Sidharth noticed her eyes and asked, "What happened Baby? Tum ro kyu rahi ho?"

"I'm sorry Sidharth. Maine bina aap ki permission liye dusre college mein admission le liya." She said in a crying voice.

"Kya?" Asked Sidharth with disbelief.

"Trust me, maine aap ko call kiya tha but uss waqt aap interview mein the. Time kam tha aur mujhe uss hi college mein admission lena tha kyu ki Suhana uss college mein padhti hai. Isliye hum dono ne aaj hi jaa ke form submit kar diya. Mujhe paata hai maine bohut badi galti ki hai. Lekin aap please mujhse naraz mat hona."

Sidharth couldn't believe his ears.

"Naaz are you mad? Main naraz kyu hounga? Mujhe toh yeh yakeen nahi ho raha ki tumne akele itna sab kuch kar liya. Aur zindagi mein pehli baar tumne khud se koi decision liya hai. I'm feeling proud." He said smiling.

But Naaz started crying.

"Nahi Sidharth. Mujhe aap ke permission ka wait karna chahiye tha. Aap ne itna kuch plan karke rakha mere liye, aur maine sab barbaad kar diya. Main bohut selfish hoon." She said while crying.

Sidharth didn't understand what to do. She was crying because of some stupid reason. Sidharth found it very funny but tried hard not to laugh.

He pulled Naaz into a hug making her head rested on his shoulder. He started caressing her hair.

"Awlle meli Baby! Ittu si baat pe koi rota hai bhala?" He said in a babyish tone.

"Naaz main sacchi bohut khush hoon. The main thing is tumhe journalism study karni hai. Ab kisi bhi college se kar lo kya fark padhta hai? Maybe this college is better. Ab band karo yeh rona dhona warna main apni haasi aur nahi rok paunga."

Naaz immediately moved away and said, "Haaye! Mera rona dekh ke aap ko haasi aa rahi hai?"

"Bohut zyada." Said Sidharth controlling his laughter.

"Mujhe nahi karni aap se baat. Aap gande ho." Said Naaz turning her face.

Sidharth came closer and wrapped his hands around her body.
