Ara stood in the kitchen, deep in contemplation, and kept sneaking glances at Mi-rae. ' I'm sure I heard Mi-rae's voice that day but then why again she's so silent ' Ara thought and turned of the gas. Serving the ramen on dishes, she went over to Mi-rae, who was on the floor petting Bong. They were at Mi-rae's studio apartment. Ara didn't want to leave her alone so she stayed there.

Both the ladies were too immersed in their thoughts. One was thinking about the incident that happened the previous day while the other one was thinking about the incident that happened years back. Ara sat beside her before handing her the bowl, observing her carefully while she was too clueless of the fact. They ate in silent, while glancing at each other time to time. Both had something to say but didn't know how to start.
'Is she pretending to be mute? but why would she do that? Maybe some compulsion? But... I'm gonna go crazy. Should I ask her? No this is not the right time Ara. She has just been saved from an accident, I don't think so she would be in this condition to be able to speak.' Ara's thoughts were interrupted when some shook her, she looked beside to see Mi-rae gazing at her in confusion. She shook her head and said "Sorry I was lost in thoughts"
"Don't worry I'm fine....but do you need something?" Mi-rae shook her head and placed the bowl on the floor before hand gesturing, being unaware that her actions are raising a tsunami of questions in someone's head.

Ara just smiled and patted her head, ignoring that urge to interrogate the poor girl.
👐 Are you planning to stay over today too?
"Yes, you don't want me to?"
👐 No no that's not what I meant. It's just that I just have a single bed, no couch or anything the place is also so congested.
👐 You have always slept on comfy beds but here yesterday you slept on floor, I don't want you to be uncomfortable too in such a small apartment.

Ara stopped her by showing her palm, glaring at her.
"Do you want me to slap you? I know where this is going so you better stop ok. Tell me if I was in your place would you leave me?"
