.:{Next Morning}:.

Terri, Bindi, Chandler, Grace, Robert, and Ruth were all awake at 7 or 7:30ish. Chandler and Robert were getting the bacon and ham ready on the stove. While Terri was heating some Gravy in the microwave, Ruth was setting the table, and Bindi was changing Grace's clothes from her pjs. Before long, breakfast was ready. They took their spots as Bindi came down the stairs with Grace. Bindi put Grace in her highchair then she sat down next to Terri. They blessed the food, then ate it up as they talked about what they were doing that evening for dinner. Robert and Chandler suggested pizza. Bindi and Terri thought that tacos would be good instead. Ruth spoke up and suggested, "How about a barbecue or cookout?" They all looked at Ruth and smiled. "Wonderful suggestion Ruth!" Bindi said. Terri piped up, "We have hotdogs and a couple racks of ribs in the freezer. Robert and Chandler can cook them this evening. Then Bindi, Ruth, and I will make some side dishes to go with them." Chandler said, "Robert, Ruth, and I are going to do some ax throwing till lunch, then I'll be home for lunch and they're going for a drive till close to dinner time." "Okay, just make sure that you two are back by 6 so we can get dinner prepared," Terri told Ruth and Robert. They nodded their heads in response and breakfast ended before too long. Robert and Chandler went out to the shed to get the axes and started loading them into the truck. Bindi and Terri cleared the table as Ruth took Grace to the living-room. She put Grace down by the bin of toys, then she ran up to get her shoes from her suitcase. She ran over to put on her perfume and get her phone from charging. She grabbed her purse too. She was just about to go down to get in the truck with the guys when her phone rang. It was her mother. She picked it up, and said, "Hey mom." "Hey Ruth, how have you been? I've tried to call you a few times and you never answered. Is everything okay down there?" "Yes mother. Everything is great. I'm having a lot of fun. As for the reason I didn't answer my phone was because I left it in my room most of the time." "Well, you need to be more responsible and carry it with you everywhere. You had me starting to worry." "I'm fine, anyway, I gotta go." "Okay, well, stay safe and be sure to take your phone with you." "I will Mom. Love you. Bye" "Bye dear." They hung up and Ruth let out a small sigh. Robert came in the house looking for Ruth. He called up the stairs, "Ruth, are ya coming?" "Yes, I'm coming." She bolted out of the room, down the stairs, and out the front door. She hopped in front seat of the truck, buckled up, then said to Chandler, "Sorry I kept you guys waiting. My mom called and I tried to talk to her quickly bu-" Chandler cut her off, "Hey, it's fine. We weren't waiting that long and besides, your mom probably misses you." Ruth smiled and said, "Thanks for understanding." Chandler smiled and nodded, then started the truck. "Where's Robert?" Ruth asked Chandler. "He's driving his Dad's old Ute, so when we're done with axe throwing I can just drive my truck back home." "Oh, Okay," Ruth replied. They drove out to a small wooded area about 20 minutes away from the house. They stopped the truck and Robert stopped the Ute behind the truck. Robert hopped out of the Ute while Chandler and Ruth were unbuckling, Chandler told Ruth, "We're here." Robert opened Ruth's door and helped her down out of the truck. They walked a few steps and Ruth said, "Wow! This place is so amazing!" Robert and Chandler smiled at each other. They walked to the back of the truck and grabbed the hatchets and axes. They carried them over to a stump then they aimed at a tree with a target on it and they started their game of axe throwing. Robert threw first and hit the target in the middle. Next was Chandler. They kept going back and forth for almost 2 hours. Ruth enjoyed watching them and how they enjoyed bonding over this activity. Then Chandler and Robert walked over to Ruth and Chandler said, "Welp, that was fun. Now we should probably chop a bit of wood for the fire tonight." Robert agreed. "Is there any way I can help?" Ruth asked. Robert smiled and said, "You can pick up all the wood we chop and carry it over to the truck, then we'll help ya load it up." "Okay," she replied. They got to work chopping down an old dead tree. They cut it down and started splitting the wood. Before too long they were done and they were all loading Chandler's truck bed with wood. Ruth was up in the truck stacking it all in nice rows. When they were done she hopped down with a hand from Robert. Chandler closed the tailgate, got in his truck, and said, "I'll see you two back at the house at 6." Robert and Ruth nodded. Chandler turned around and headed back to the Irwin home. Ruth and Robert climbed in the Ute and started driving forward. "Where are we going?" Ruth asked. "I'm taking ya to see a place that I like to go to," Robert replied. Ruth nodded and mouthed a small, "Okay." They drove for about an hour and then Robert stopped the Ute next to a tree. They climbed out of the Ute and climbed up to sit on the hood. Robert looked at Ruth, she looked back at him, and he said, "We're here. This is a special spot that I like to come to sometimes when I want to be alone and get away from the world's prying eyes." Ruth looked at Robert's sad smile. He continued, "I've never brought anybody here. You're the first person I've brought here." Ruth smiled and said, "You didn't have to bring me here if it's your special place to go to be away from people." Robert looked at her, smiled and said, "I wanted to bring you here because just like this place is special to me you're special to me too." Ruth was a little shocked at his words. She smiled back at him and said, "Thank you for bringing me here. I can see and hear why you like to come here. It's so peaceful." He nodded in agreement. Ruth put her hand on Roberts and then she leaned her head on his shoulder. He squeezed her hand and leaned his head over on top of hers. They stayed sitting there on the hood of the Ute as they watched and listened to the animals. Robert looked at his watch. It read 4:30. He squeezed Ruth's hand and said, "We better start heading back now. It will take an hour and a half to get back from here." Ruth nodded, removed her head from his shoulder. He hopped down off the hood, helped her down, then they walked over to the passenger side and Robert opened the door for Ruth. She climbed in, Robert got in, started the Ute, and they started heading back toward the Irwin home. They arrived back at the house right at 6. They went inside and found Terri, Bindi, Chandler, and Grace sitting in the living-room. Chandler and Robert walked out to unload the wood for the fire. Bindi put Grace in her playpen. Terri, Ruth, and Bindi headed into the kitchen to get started on the side dishes for dinner. After the guys unloaded the wood, Chandler went inside to ask, "Terri, do you want us to start the fire now?" Terri nodded and said, "Yes Chandler. We'll be bringing out the sides in a few minutes. You better check the ribs in the smoker." Chandler nodded and headed out to check the ribs as Robert started a fire in the firepit. Bindi, Terri, Grace, and Ruth walked out to the patio and set the sides on the table. Bindi and Terri went to help Chandler bring the ribs over. Grace was being held by Ruth and pointed at her swing-set. Ruth took Grace to the swing-set and started pushing her on the swing. Grace was so happy to have a new playmate. Before long it was dinner time. They all got their food, said a blessing, then sat down in some camping chairs by the fire. Grace walked over toward Ruth after she was done eating. Robert thought she wanted to sit with him, but Grace walked past him. She motioned to Ruth and said a small, "Up, up." Ruth smiled, picked her up, and held Grace in her arms tightly. They all enjoyed talking and spending time around the fire. Before too long Grace was asleep in Ruth's arms and it was her bedtime. Ruth walked in the house, through the dining-room, into the living-room, and up the stairs to Bindi and Chandler's room. She slowly opened the door, placed Grace down in her crib, then quietly grabbed a monitor for Bindi, and silently walked out the door. She went back out to everyone. They spent a few more hours by the fire. Talking about various things and enjoying each other's company. Bindi, Terri, and Chandler went inside and headed to bed about 10:30 or 11. Ruth and Robert put out the fire and headed inside to go to bed as well. They went upstairs, said, "Goodnight" to each other and went into their rooms. They both fell asleep rather quickly and dreamt of each other.

Hey everyone, I know this was apart of the chapter 24 but I decided to split the two into two chapters.  I hope ya'll don't mind.  :)  I'm trying to write more chapters but I have writer's block.  I'm thinking about writing a story about Benji Krol soon.  I don't know if that's something ya'll would like but I'm might try.  Comment "yes" if you think I should do the Benji Krol story idea.  Thanks for over 4,400 reads!  Thanks for reading! - GodLover
