Chapter 32: Euphoria

Vanoss POV

"You just told him that you loved him" I say, shocked. Wildcat is just stood there, back in Kade's arms after everything we went through to get him out. I watch them, a look of fear washes over Wildcat's face, "Vanoss... What are you-" I slowly walk closer. Wildcat let's go of Kade and runs up to me, "You told that.. That monster that you loved him" I say, surprised by what I'm seeing. Kade laughs, I stop walking, Wildcat turns to him. 

"Monster? Heh, I'm the monster.." Kade says, his laugh getting slightly louder and more crazy. "Kade?" Wildcat asks, "What makes you any different?" Kade asks. I scoff, How could I be a monster? I'm the pure definition of good. "What do you mean? I'm good, you're bad, that's how we're different" I say proudly. Kade stands up straight, his eyes burning in mine, "Then explain what you did to Tyler" Kade combats.

I look down to Wildcat, he has his head down, fidgeting with his fingers. "Don't think that he'd forget what you did to him" Kade says, Wildcat starts to slowly back away from me. No, "Wildcat? What are you doing?" I ask, "I..I-I'm not Wildcat" he says quietly. He backs into Kade, No no no no, he's mine, only mine. I pull out my gun and point it towards him "Come back to me, now" I demand.

Tyler POV

My eyes widen, I quickly fan my arms out, shielding Kade, "DON'T" I yell out. I look at Vanoss, "Say it" Vanoss orders, "W-what?" I ask, "Say that you love me". I stare at him in shock, "Vanoss.. I don't.. love you" I say quietly, Vanoss looks to be agitated. "I didn't bring you into this for you to not listen to my orders, say it" Vanoss says. 

I pause, I lower my hands, standing up straight, "You.. You did bring me into this.. You also did a lot of other things that I didn't want" I say, I start to walk closer to him. "You brought me into this.. And and you get mad at me when I don't know what I'm doing" I say. "Wildcat stop playing and get in the-" I interrupt him, "I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING VANOSS, you brought me into the gang because you were scared that in the time I wasn't with you, that I'd find someone else. Vanoss I'm scared, before you I didn't know anything about this, before you I wasn't even aware that this much crime happened in Los Santos."

I grab my head, It was a lie, it was all lies, I'm so stupid. "I'll say it then, I LOVE YOU, IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR? I-LOVE-YOU, it's clear that you love me so what's the point in anything, right? We love each other, so you'll listen to me right? You'll put the gun down because I love you and you love me right?" I ask. My motions frantic, Vanoss is shocked that I'm yelling at him. He tightens the grip he has on the pistol. No, you only want me to put the gun down  because you still love him". 

Vanoss aims the gun to Kade, my eyes widen, "No no no, I don't love him, I love you, but that doesn't mean that he should die" I say. 

Vanoss POV

What do I do? When Wildcat left, I didn't expect him to meet up with him...

What does one do in this situation?

  Should I shoot him? Why am I here? No, why is Wildcat here? I went through so many things but here he is leaving me again, what do I do? I should shoot him, that way Wildcat will have no other choice but to come back to me. 

God I love him, he's so beautiful, I want him. Don't shoot him, but the last time he was shot, he's here and alive. I don't want to shoot him, 

Please don't make me do this... 

"Wildcat... Kade shot you, yet you're here in his arms" I say, trying to salvage what I can of our relationship. He places his hands on his head, "N-no, he wouldn't do that to me, Kade wouldn't hurt me" He says. Kade stands silently behind him, not intervening in our argument, "Y-you shot me, you did, n-not him" Wildcat convinces himself.  It's clear Wildcat sees me as an enemy, there's no point in trying to tell him something that he just won't believe. What do I do?

I grip the gun tighter, Kade's stares at Wildcat with a deadpan face, waiting for something to happen. "Is that what he told you?" I ask, Wildcat looks up, his face looks a bit annoyed with my question. "It's what I believe, and I have to say I trust him more than you" Wildcat argues, I clench my free hand. "I'm trying to get you out-" Wildcat rolls his head back, "Out of what Evan? Out of a relationship that I'm clearly happier in? Why did I even go this far with you.." Wildcat says.

You came with me because there's a chance.. A chance for us, "Wildcat we-" My words trigger an angry grunt for him. "I'M NOT WILDCAT, OK? Wildcat is a stupid fucking pet name that reminds me of how sad and useless I used to be. Get it through your mind, there is no 'we' Evan, only me, anything else is no longer your concern." Wildcat stops and looks down, I get a bit nervous, "Throughout our time apart, I couldn't stop thinking of you" Wildcat says.

My heart skips a beat, my eyes relax, My love.. He.. I shut my eyes, twitching my head to the side trying to subdue the smile forming on my face. Calm down, I look back up, holding the gun steady. "The day I left was the day that everything became clear, why you said the things you said, why you did the things you did" Wildcat grabs his shirt, rubbing the fabric between his fingers.

His breaths heavy on his chest, "It... It was like opening my eyes for the first time" Wildcat walks closer to me, his eyes trained on the ground. "The first time I could actually see my worth, that I was seen more than my owners plaything, that I had a purpose". He looks up at me, his face soft with tears "I loved that feeling, becoming so addicted to the simple euphoria it gave me... That I became more vulnerable than I used to be.. Evan I don't know what I'm doing.. To be completely honest I've never known, but knowing you, I could be drugged and thrown in the dirt and you'd still call me useless" Wildcat says quietly.

I watch him as he wipes a tear from his face, I'm sorry, "This is hard to admit, but to be completely honest Evan, I'm lost" Wildcat stands in front of me. He looks to my gun, pressing his forehead to the end of the gun. I watch tears fall from his face, "I-I'm sorry.. I tried, I really did, but I can't do this anymore, I can't pretend I'm something I'm not" Wildcat says. 

I stare at him lovingly, I'm lost without you too, "I..I-" He stutters. "I miss you" We both say. Wildcat's eyes widen, he hangs his head. He misses me, he thinks about me, I miss you so much, I've regretted everything ever since. "I love you" I blurt out, Wildcat stays quiet, I feel slightly embarrassed from my desperate sounding words. Does he love me too? He said he did but... 

I grip the trigger, Just listen to what he says, He steps back from me. "Wh.. What are you doing?" I ask.

Tyler POV

"I don't know if I'm capable" I say, My side feels weird, "I know that I can show love, but I don't know if I'm capable of being loved" I say. I look back to Kade, he's looking to the ground, tears falling from his eyes. I walk back towards Kade standing in front of him, I cup his face, "Sometimes I wish... I could somehow.. Just somehow, live in between" I whisper to him. "Is.. Is this it?" Kade asks, I chuckle softly, kissing his tears, "No" I say.

Kade grabs my face, his teary eyes look into mine, I never want to see you cry. I pull Kade in, kissing him passionately, the connection feels strong between us. Us... Between us, Kade wraps his arms around me, pulling us together. The warmth of his body comforts me, Only us... Our lips disconnect, putting our heads together. I watch Kade smile, "I love you Tyler" Kade says. I giggle in his arms, "I lo-".

A bullet flies past my head, What just happened?
