"How is he Helaena?" Aurora asked the silver haired princess who had joined them, referring to Barran "Are you happy?"

"I am Rori" the princess' tone went more serious "He makes me happy and the kids love him"

"Then go for it. You can now do anything you want as long as you live in Rooks Rest" Aurora encouraged the girl, she deserved this and much more.

"Aurora" Rhaenyra called her over to where she was with lord Steffon Darklyn and Lady Fell as well as lady Mysaria "Ladies and lord, this is lady Belgrave"

"We have met" lady Mysaria said with a smile. She shook the hand Aurora offered her.

The other two did the same.

Aurora spent the remaining time she had before the dinner shaking hands and meeting lords and ladies from different houses like Tyshara Lannister who had inherited her father's title thanks to the new law Rhaenyra had implemented.

I know this chapter was a bit crazy but the book is almost finished and I'm struggling to see how to finish it.

Dinner came faster than Aurora expected. She had seated herself right besides Jaehaera and Jaehaerys, both of which held their new dragon eggs in their hands, to give their mother a rest.

Alicent had already been sent to Redfort where her two injured sons were so Rhaenyra could be noticed as being less tense while she paraded her daughter Visenya around with Joffrey, the little prince holding onto his little sisters cloth and Aegon the III acting as her guard.

Cregan insisted in being seated at Aurora's side earning nothing but more glares from the woman's father that stopped when Aurora herself chided him.

Aurora was enjoying her second plate of chicken and roasted potatoes, sometimes swaying her feet when turning to look at someone speak and brushing legs with Cregan. It was and accident at first until they made some sort of 'game' out of it.

"Aaaaaah!" the scream made everyone tense as loud cracks sounded across the table originating where the twins were "Mama! I broke my egg!" "Me too!"

There were happy congratulations handed to the kids after they had been calmed down and then compliments on the two beautiful baby dragons that had just hatched.

Everyone had packed their things to go back to their homes and Rhaenyra was currently saying goodbye to the guests. Everything was going along like a dream and Aurora was most proud in her success at changing history.

The social and political norms for women were changing, slowly but surely, both with Aurora's official naming as Grand maester and Mysaria's naming as Lady of Whispers, Aurora having seen her father grow closer to the beautiful woman who had decided to move to Rooks Rest 'in case the queen needed her'. Even Dorne had sent emissaries and envoys and managed to reach an agreement with the queen, granting her the power of a queen over them but allowing them to remain with the same independence from Kings Landing.

Aemond and Helaena, with the kids, had also decided to stay with the Belgraves seeing as not only did they love it there, their dragons seemed to thrive there as well.

The queen reinstated Prince Lucerys as heir of Driftmark and he had gone to train under lord Corlys' guidance with Rhaena, whose dragon egg had hatched a few hours after Jaehaera's and Jaehaerys'. The dragon had been the same as it had been described, pale pink and with black horns and claws. Rhaenys had kissed Aurora goodbye as she had also mounted her dragon to return to her homeland.

Prince Jacaerys and prince Aegon had been allowed to stay in Dragonstone after Rhaenyra had proclaimed Jacaerys as her heir and prince of Dragonstone, the boys having left already with Baela on their dragons.

"Do you think you could come visit the North sometime?" Cregan asked Aurora as she waited for Thanatos to come down (he was taking his sweet time indeed).

"I will, don't you worry. I have a feeling Thanatos would enjoy the cold climate better" she said.

Aurora was thinking of how it would be a good place for Thanatos to visit due to how much forest and mountains there were in those parts of the continent, and how much food the dragon would be able to gorge himself on when the Walkers came, if they did.

Brandon and his knights were already on their way to Rooks Rest as they had shipped off with Helaena and Aemond.

Aurora climbed onto Thanatos when she found the massive black dragon and looked back at Kings Landing one more time before asking him to fly up.

Rhaenyra and Daemon watched as the black form of Thanatos, formerly known as The Cannibal, disappeared into the clouds.

Alicent pushed the chair her youngest son was sitting on, caught in her own thoughts. She was grateful to whichever gods had had mercy on her and her children. Rhaenyra had allowed her, Aegon the II and Daeron to reside and live the last of their days in Redfort in peace, along with Viserys. With no dragons and no wars, the king was enjoying the time he spent with lord Redfort building models of kingdoms.

Aegon had been more than happy when he had learnt that he was free from the burden of the crown and throne and had immediately applied for the Velaryon fleet as he had always wanted the opportunity to sail across the world, discovering new things.

In a single island of Dorne, a dark skinned man sailed his own fishing ship with another man he held close to him, reading the letter that had reached him that morning. The darker man smiled when he finished reading its contents and let the thin paper fall into the water, where it fell apart once wet.

"Is everything all right?" his lover asked him.

"Everything is great darling" he kissed the man's forehead tenderly as he rowed them back to land, and to the pale dragon waiting for them there.

A maid threw a bowl of dirty water out onto the streets were the beggars usually were, the shit filled water falling on a man who was missing his arms which did him no good as he tried to cover his head from the disgusting water.

"Food?" another grimy man asked him, presenting his palms to the previously red haired man.

"Mhmmn! MNHNMMMH" the now horrid smelling man tried to speak, but when he opened his mouth, nothing but an too short stump could be seen, trying to move in his mouth to form the words that would have once saved his life.

After a few weeks, he would be found bleeding out painfully on the dirt filled steps of the palace after trying to sneak inside, but no one would help the man that wrote his own ruin as he had.
