Prince wouldn't officially hit the road this year, but "Diamonds and Pearls reached our media soon enough. Television performances. One-off gigs. Music videos. Brave interviews. On and on. Outright promotion would still make a difference now.

I was so proud of him. Thirteen songs in all. Funk, Rock, Pop, Soul, Hip-Hop elements. So many different genres were used. Once again, not long after publishing my own review, I hummed or whistled tracks at random times.

"Wait, Mike? Are you serious?" One night though, I found myself gasped while on the phone with Michael. We hadn't talked in quite some time beforehand, especially since last year.

"Yes. By next month, my new album will be released." Michael offered his own news with pride, beaming through our call.

"Title?" I asked, clicking my pen.

"Dangerous." Michael wouldn't play secrets anymore. At least I knew something early.

"All right. Best of luck to you." I smirked, even though we couldn't see each other in person.

"Thank you, Rochelle." Michael answered with my full name again, definitely showing respect.

"You're welcome." I hung up that call with Michael, but watched how Prince stood in my bedroom doorway. My husband returned from performing on the Arsenio Hall Show. Despite multiple costume changes, Prince shined through yellow right now.

"Hey," Prince took off his boots, ready to cuddle with me regardless of sporting that amazing wardrobe

"Hi," I grinned, scooting to make space for him on our bed.

"Missed you tonight." Prince frowned, but still kissed my cheek and settled near his own side of the bed.

"Me too." I nodded. Plans scrambled a little too much this week and I could only watch him on television earlier.

"Who was on the phone?" Prince glanced towards me with lovelorn eyes, starred.

"Mike. He's releasing an album next month." I said. Prince aimlessly touched my legs, but I never flinched. Nightfall had been quiet, peaceful.
