Cheering soon filled this space. Guests included everyone from big-time names to hometown friends who couldn't attend our wedding. My heart raced or dropped at the same time.

Cameras flashed. Prince "met'' my people. We grooved on the dance floor. We cackled as strobe lights beamed.

"Are you serious?" I shouted over booming music once again. Even Mike showed up out of nowhere, just surprising folks without hesitation.

"Turn around." Prince told me only a few minutes later. I didn't know what to think until moments later.

"Shelia!" I almost screamed and damn-near fell out. We hadn't seen each other in person since she left Paisley Park '89.

"Hey. Happy birthday." She muffled as we held each other. We rocked this embrace and back and forth, nearly overwhelmed by this reunion.

"Thank you." I welcomed her remark like everyone else here, but complimented her as well. "Your new music is great."
