Kennedy Aross
+Next day

Kennedy laughed with Tyjai , and her friends as she sat in the living room of her house.

She leaned back on the couch. "Not to talk about yonna or nun cuz she's my friend...but her ghetto ass irritate me. I mean it's nun wrong with being ghetto but she just over do it." She explained.

"Yeah I wasn't gonna say anything...and she been like this our whole life it's just so irr-" she was cut off by Kennedys phone ringing.

She furrowed her eyebrows seeing it was Sean's mother. She hardly ever called Kennedy unless Kennedy broke up with her son.

"Shhh" she told her friends before she answered the phone. "Hey , Mrs. Williams." She smiled.

"Hey baby.." her voice was raspy. "I was just checking up on you. Did you hear about Sean?" She asked.

Kennedy paused. "No... what about him?" She questioned. "Nobody told you?" She asked. Kennedys heart dropped. "What...is he okay?" She asked.

As much as she didn't want to be with Sean , she didn't want anything to happen to him. He was still human and a good friend.

"No Kennedy...my son is dead. He was murdered yesterday afternoon at a gas station on skid row." She explained. Kennedy covered her mouth and tears formed in her eyes.

"W-what? Mrs.williams....please be joking." She spoke. "I wish I was Kennedy. I'm sorry baby. His funeral will be sometime next week." She spoke and a tear rolled down Kennedys face.

She stammered. "i-i gotta go , Mrs Williams." She hung up. "What happened girl?" Tyjai looked concerned.

As much as she hated her relationship with Sean , he didn't deserve to die. She knew he would end up dead or in jail but she always hoped he ended up in jail instead of in the grave. Because at least she'd know that he was okay.

He may have treated her poorly as a boyfriend but he was truly a good friend. She had been dating this boy since her first year of high school. She had known him for almost a decade. And now he was gone.

"I-i..." She cut herself off by crying hysterically. "Oh no...what's wrong, Kennedy?" Maia spoke as she sat next to her.

"I-i" she stood up and walked away to the bathroom. She locked herself in and cried her eyes out.

They let her do what she needed to Do. In about 15 minutes, she wiped her face up. She stared in the mirror at her now puffy face. Her lips were enlarged as well as her nose.

She walked out of the bathroom and back to the living room.

"What happened? Who called you?" Tyjai asked. Kennedy stared ahead as she wiped her tears. She sat down on the couch.

"Sean's dead." She explained. The girls gasped. "Seriously?"

"Yeah...he got killed yesterday."

•••••••••••••••

Kennedy laid in bed crying for the rest of the day. She was going crazy. She wished that the last time she talked to him had been a better conversation.

She remembers last cussing him out and he just left because he didn't want to argue. She felt horrible. So horrible that it was making her actually sick to her stomach.

She was physically ill and had vomited many times after she found out but she hadn't gained the strength to eat anything so it was just stomach acids coming up at this point.

She screamed into her pillow before rolling back on to her back. "come back.....I'm sorry." She cried. "I'm sorry Sean.." she cried.

"I know we weren't supposed to be soul mates or whatever but I did love you. I always will." She whispered looking at the picture of the two on her 18th birthday party.

Her phone began ringing again and it was Dominic. It only made it hard to suck up the tears. Because she realized she was doing Sean dirty and cheating on him too. Although he was cheating on her , she knew that two wrongs never made a right.

She felt stupid for crying over someone that was no good. Despite his unfaithfulness, she didn't remember what life was like before him and he was a big part of her life now. Even if it was a sometimes bad part of life , it was still there and she couldn't just ignore it and act like it was never there. she couldn't be happy that he was gone.
