Chapter Twenty five

"WHAT do you mean kailangan mo ulit ng pera? Kakapadala ko lang last week, ah." I scolded Aldrich.

"M-may babayaran kasi kami f-for p-projects, ate.." I stopped myself and carefully scanned his face through the medium that's connecting us.

He's lying.

"May inutangan ka ba at kailangang kailangan mo ng bayad?!" I exaggerated.

Knowing him and my other siblings, hindi nila ugali na manghingi ng pera sa akin palagi. They are always contented sa mga binibigay ko. But this past few weeks nakakapanibago. Talaga bang sobrang daming gastos sa engineering?

"W-wala, te."

"Eh, bakit nga?!"

"B-basta."

"Then, no! Hindi ako magpapadala. Give me an acceptable reason and I will send the money to you."

Actually, money is still a problem to us pero hindi na ganon kahitap. After I graduated college as summa cumlaude, kaagad akong nag review para sa board exam ng medtech. While reviewing, I started my medical school and after few months of waiting, I passed the medical technology board examination, ranked 5. Hindi ako nag work as medical technology, instead I continued studying. But atleast I passed the board. Maybe soon magagamit ko s'ya.

That set up wasn't easy of course. There were lots of time I just wanted to quit studying and just support my siblings but Vyn was always there to be my pahinga and my support.

During the last months, Vyn saw me struggle. He saw me cry and struggle in reaching my dream. Malayo pa ako, pero malayo na ako.

From my happiness of highs to my trenches, Vyn was there. And I can't be more thankful to him.

Going back..

"Fine!" He gave up. "I'm buying a gift for s-someone."

My mouth agape at his confession. Does this means that my brother is in love?!

"What. You mean you're inlove?!" I squealed excitedly.

"A-ate... Lower your voice, please.."

"Fine as you say." I laughed. "I'll send the money later, intayin ko lang si Vyn na dumating."

He arched his brow. "Okay na kayo?"

"Of course. You know it was just a simple argument." I said.

"Yeah? Like he forgot your monthsary?" Pagpapaalala niya pa.

Sinimangutan ko siya. "Atleast not our anniversary,"

He chuckled then smiled. "Basta, ate, always remember na super happy ako para sa inyo. Alam ko naman na mahal n'yo ang isa't isa and that's already enough for us na masiguradong okay ka. As long as you're with kuya Vyn. Don't worry about us here, w-were h-happy and safe."

Nagseryoso ako at tumitig sa kaniya. Something is wrong.

"May problema ka ba, Aldrich? You can tell ate."

Sincere siyang ngumiti sa akin. "Wala, masaya lang ako."

Napalingon ako sa pinto nang bumukas iyon. Vyn arrived in his business suite.

"Heh! Sige na, Vyn's already here."

We bid goodbye.

"Hi, love." He kissed my forehead.

"Hi, you're early."

"Yup! My girlfriend just texted me that she misses me so much." Ngumisi ako. Well, I really did that. Naglalambing na yumakap siya sa akin. "I miss you.. and this is my favorite rest."
