Marty quietly made her way to the kitchen without anyone noticing her, especially the two people hanging at the living room.
She prepared what she needed for the drink she promised him. Thankfully, she whipped out enough cream cheese yesterday so she didn't have to do it again.
Marty was in the middle of whisking matcha on a ceramic bowl when he appeared beside her.
HARLEY
Anong ginagawa mo?
MARTY
Whisk.
HARLEY
Ah . . . ano sunod d'yan? Parang ang dami mong gagawin.
MARTY
Ililipat sa baso. Lalagyan ng gatas.
HARLEY
Tapos?
Marty didn't say anything, she just raised the container where she kept the cream cheese she made last night.
HARLEY
Mahirap ba gawin?
Umiling si Marty. She quietly assembled 2 glasses—diluting a teaspoon of sugar by pouring in the matcha before adding the oat milk he prefers and she topped that off with a dollop of cream cheese.
HARLEY
May sobra ka pa ba? Gawan din natin si ate mo.
Marty didn't say anything else. She just handed him both glasses she made so he could disappear without having to pester her while she cleaned up in the kitchen.
HARLEY
Ay para sa amin ba 'to ni Maddie?
Marty nodded even though the other glass was supposed to be for her.
