INT. CHEM LAB - AFTERNOON

1:50 p.m.

Marty kept on glancing at the doorway, waiting for him. He wasn't that hard to notice especially when he's wearing a white top and a navy blue baseball cap. A smile automatically etched on her lips when she noticed him approaching their room. Marty stood up so she could give him her extra lab coat.

MARTY
Ito na! Suot mo agad para hindi ka mapalayas ni Ma'am Kathlene.

Harley removed his cap first before taking the lab coat she was handing him. He brushed his hair through his fingers and Marty tried to pretend she didn't see any of that. Instead, she took a hold on his sleeve to pull him to their group's station.

MARTY
Dito ka. Upo ka d'yan sa tabi ko.

HARLEY
Sure ba talaga? Okay lang na nandito ako?

MARTY
Oo. Naka-pants at rubber shoes ka naman, e. May lab gown ka rin. 'Di ka na mapapalabas. Kung gusto mo ng nitrile gloves, goggles, at hairnet, pahihiramin din kita dito.

He chuckled.

HARLEY
Okay, sige. Dito muna ako. Malakas naman wifi dito 'no?

MARTY
Oo. P'wede ka gumawa ng thesis mo.

HARLEY
Sige.

Harley took out his laptop and worked silently. Marty did too by reviewing her pre-lab diagram. A few minutes of silence passed by when Harley took a peek on her notebook.

HARLEY
Ano 'yan?

MARTY
Schematic ng procedure. Inaaral ko.

HARLEY
Grabe? Ang sipag.

MARTY
Ha?

Harley leaned closer to see the page and their shoulders brushed.

HARLEY
Drawing mo 'tong mga apparatus?

MARTY
Hindi. Drawing ni Uly 'yan. Pinagawa ko.

HARLEY
Buti pumayag siya?

MARTY
May kapalit 'yon. Ako naghugas ng pinagkainan namin.

HARLEY
Ah . . . pero ang ganda niya mag-drawing.

MARTY
'Di ba? Namana niya rin talaga 'yan kay Chael Igor.

Harley flipped the second page and a much more detailed drawing of Marty's schematic diagram was etched on the pages.

HARLEY
Kailangan ba kabisado mo agad 'to bago kayo mag-experiment?

MARTY
'Di naman. Pero basta dapat familiar na kami sa procedure lalo na kung may kailangang i-setup na apparatus para 'di natatagalan.

HARLEY
Ah . . .

Harley nodded as he read through the procedure with her. Both of them were quiet in their corner without realizing they were too close.

But someone definitely did.
