How are my ducklings?

I 'm generally fine, just really tired. I went to a summer camp that I didn't really want to go. I met a lot of new kids and I feel like I could become good friends with many of them but I really didn't like the camp in general...I 'm bored to explain details but it was way too noisy and tiring for me. I didn't really have the strenght and energy to continue, so I asked my mom to take me home...which is why I 'm here now. There's a chance I 'll get back there on Monday though. We 'll see.

Anyway, for the time being I 'm seeing some friends and binge-watching JoJo's Bizzare Adventure.

GUYS I 'M SO OBSESSED WITH IT
I have watched over 100 episodes in idk 2 weeks or so and I 'm already in the 6th season
But it really is very good! It has such a distinctive style that sets it apart from other similar series but at the same time, each part varies. Like the first part is all dark, scary and dramatic with vampires and zombies and the fourth one is basically Ladybug if there was a serial killer instead of romance 💀😂
Also apparently the Italian mafia is about food. There was a guy called Risotto asking where's Gelato and Sorbet and then he send Melone, Prosciutto and Fromaggio to look for them 💀 THE NAMES ARE PURE GENIUS

Also, I 'll do it with animated series in general not just with anime, because I never understood how people distinguish anime from cartoons ✨

Ah yeah speaking of which
Let me rant a little before I move on to the challenge XD

I have already ranted about how insulting is when people discard animated movies and series as "childish" or "stupid" but do you know what's probably even worse? Anime fans complaining about how the beforementioned people "insult" anime by saying that "it's just a cartoon"

Like I sometimes see little videos etc by anime fanpages that show some annoyed/sad photo and the phrase "It's just a cartoon"
That's supposed to mean what exactly? That "cartoons" are indeed "stupid" and "childish" as opposed to "anime"? You are an anime fan, you are supposed to know things about animation, you are supposed to be one of those that aknowledge and respect animation! Not the ducking opposite!! Just because you never bothered enough to look into western animation other than Ladybug and Sofia The First, it doesn't mean good non-Japanese works don't exist

And cartoons and anime are not even that different-
I mean what are the possible differences between the two?

First of all, the country of origin: Anime are obviously Japanese and cartoons are...literally from the rest of the world. Okay I get it: planet Earth consists of two continents now, Japan and everything else. Cartoons come from the US, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland...why don't we distinguish between those? Also, if country of origin is a criteria to determine between anime and cartoons, then The Legend Of Zorro, a 90s animated show that was created by both a Japanese and an Italian studio, is considered to be an anime or a cartoon?
