The change in your clothes made it look as though the white snow had been drenched in crimson blood. The night had fallen and your red kimono stood out from the dark.
It was customary that both Clans share dinner after the wedding ceremony and share a drink of sake as proof of their bond, their alliance made stronger by this marriage, you thought to yourself.
You sit beside Madara, who is also wearing a red kimono and black hakama pants, while you pour sake in your brother's empty cup before Madara does the same to fill the cup.
"To my sister," Hashirama said, now holding the cup filled with sake. "You have been a precious person to me from the moment you were born. And now you will be a precious person to someone who will spend the rest of his days with you."
A precious person. You have been a precious person to both of your older brothers, but will you really be a precious person to Uchiha Madara as well?
With that thought, you couldn't help but steal a glance at Madara before you quickly averted your gaze and looked back at Hashirama.
"And to my friend, my brother, whom I met that day by fate at the Naka River, skipping rocks and hoping that they would reach the other end. The dream we shared that day will finally become a reality. But I'm not here to talk about that. This day is special for both you and my sister, and therefore I only wish for nothing else but happiness for the rest of your married life."
Hashirama lifted his cup before he downed the sake that you and Madara poured in his cup. You guessed it wasn't his first drink either, because he's starting to sob by the time he was finished with his short speech.
The next person who stood in front is your second brother, Tobirama. His expression tells you that he didn't have a single drop of liquor yet, or that he's just too good at hiding his tipsiness with such a straight face.
Like earlier, you and Madara filled his cup before Tobirama started. "To my sister," he said. "My one and only sister who valiantly accepted the role of the Uchiha's bride. I wish that you will become a strong pillar that will hold the peace between the two Clans for generations to come."
His words reminded you of your purpose. That all you ever wanted is to keep the peace between the Senju and the Uchiha. This marriage will be an extra pillar for that peace to last beyond your lifetime.
