After that incident, you made sure the handmaiden was alright. You think that genjutsu was a bit excessive, she did pass out.
When Madara left to tend on an important matter which you really had no idea about, you headed back to the quarters. In an attempt to pass time, you requested to be brought materials used for embroidery and you spent the rest of the afternoon doing that.
"My Lady, your bath is ready," a handmaiden came to inform you and you lifted your head, seeing that it's already sunset. You did tell them to have your bath ready by sunset.
"Thank you,"
You stood up and left your half-finished embroidery as you followed the handmaiden to the bathing quarters. The scent of fragrant oil and flowers immediately wafted in your nostrils when you walked inside. The steam from the wooden bathtub lingers in the air.
"My Lady, we will be taking off your kimono now."
You were used to this kind of treatment, being helped with doing the littlest things like taking off your clothes before the bath, so you were reminded of what you heard earlier.
Your sheltered upbringing.
"Everyone," you started as your kimono slid down, leaving you with your undergarments. "May I ask everyone to leave."
"But, My Lady..."
The handmaidens looked at each other upon hearing your request.
"We are to serve you, My Lady, we cannot just leave—"
"Please don't make me repeat myself," you said, biting your lower lip unconsciously when you think you might have sounded rude. "I can do this myself."
They bowed their heads before leaving and when none of them were left, you took off everything you were wearing, leaving yourself bare.
You tiptoed your way to the wooden bathtub, the water lukewarm against your skin as you slowly sat down, some of the water spilling from the movement. You gathered your hair up and tied them in a bun, a bit messy as some strands of your hair fell down to the side of your face.
