"Are you kidding?! Right after we had a lead??" Chengxi was the detective predominantly shocked.

"That security guard at the prison, I noticed he was fairly interested in our conversation." Wufei on the other hand, seemed less surprised. "Guards rarely come inside with the inmate like that, they would wait outside unless the inmate was deemed highly dangerous. Not like that guard was interested in drama either; it was more like he was told to keep an eye on Ying Luyao." Wufei remember glancing to the guard irregularly as he talked with Luyao, the guard had his eyes on Luyao almost the entire visit, and would glance away to avoid Wufei's eyes.

"Do you think Tu Wanglian has his eyes on Ying Luyao?"

"I'm sure that attorney is the type to leave no stone unturned, he's worried about Ying Luyao spilling details that shouldn't be out there." Wufei said, "Which means, we're on the right track~!"

"What...?" Chengxi was bewildered by his partner's abrupt change in mood.

"Tu Wanglian must've told Tu Baihang to plead guilty to the charges, thus giving us no time to prove that the case was fabricated." Wufei began to think, "If the guard told him everything, he would have the security in the law firm keep an eye on me and anyone from the office."

"Then what do we do?"

"Maybe, not everyone from the office..." a smirk suddenly etched on Wufei's face, Chengxi knew he had an idea, and it gave him even the slightest relieve.

"Yes?"

"Hello, Mr. Chou~" Wufei entered Mr. Chou's office with a broad smile.

"Are you here about the recent update on the case?" Mr. Chou was rather nervous to see the 25-year-old.

"I am, so I'm kinda in a hurry." Wufei folded his arms in front of his chest as he responded, "But I have a plan in mind; I trust Tu Wanglian isn't aware that you're the one who informed me details of his doings, so I was hoping if you could do me a favour." He smiled calmly.

"Me...?" Detective Chou had not even the slightest inkling of what Wufei might have in mind.

"Haoyu~!" Wufei went to visit Haoyu's antique shop later that day, entering with a broad grin and a voice so loud that it woke Haoyu up from his nap.

"Welcome..." Haoyu was half awake as he raised his upper body and wiped his eyes.

"Have you watched the news? Or listened to the radio?" Wufei asked the drowsy 23-year-old.

"If I was awake, I would've." Haoyu stretched his arms up in the air, "Did something happen?"

"Tu Baihang just plead guilty to the charges of kidnapping and manslaughter; his case isn't going to trial." Wufei broke the news to Haoyu, who seemed unfazed by it.

"Did his father tell him to do that?"

"I'm sure he did," Wufei sat down on one of the chairs lining one side of the counter, "I visited Ying Luyao earlier today, and the security guard was the one who probably ratted us out." He added.

"Seems like Tu Wanglian has eyes at places like that too," Haoyu sighed lightly in invisible frustration, "But it's my friend's murder that he's getting away with, and I'm not going to let that happen." Haoyu clenched his hands; his determination made the detective stare at him for a few silent moments.

"By the way, how does your ability work?" Wufei asked a question Haoyu hasn't heard in quite some time, and it made him pause to think for a moment.

"My ability is incomprehensible to those who don't possess it, it's something anomalous, something that isn't supposed to exist in our world of reality." Haoyu smiled slightly, "It's an experience for the user in of itself, it's bizarre, sometimes unpleasant."
