Chapter 14

It's Saturday, but instead of waking up late, I woke up super early today. I didn't even catch up on my sleep. I remembered the last thing Aya told me before we parted ways last night.  At halos hindi rin ako makatulog ng dahil sa sinabi niyang iyon.

"You know what? It's not me you should apologize to."

Yeah, I know.  Pero paano?  Hindi naman basta basta mapapatawad yung nagawa ko.  I know, maling mali iyon. 

Pero bahala na!

Tatayo na sana ako nang makarinig na naman ako ng notif mula sa phone ko.  Message mula kay Blair, Lev, and Chada.

I opened Blair's message.  She was just asking me kung anong nangyari sa pag-uusap namin ni Aya.  I informed her kasi nung makauwi na ako na nagkita kami ni Aya.  It was sent 5 hours ago.  Hindi ko nalang nireplyan.

Then, I opened Chada's message informing me na nasa billboard na yung photoshoot namin.  Yun yung time na late ako kay Prof. Gonzales, the first time I met Freya.

Lastly, I opened Lev's message.  Again, he was asking me to meet him because he needs to talk about some important matters.  ASAP!

Since wala naman akong gagawin, and I think importante talaga yung sasabihin niya dahil hindi naman ito mangungulit ng ganito kung hindi importanteng importante.  So pumayag nalang ako.  Gusto niyang magkita kami as in ngayon na.

He sent me the location na malapit lang sa condo nito, it's a coffee shop.  I saved the location at agad ng naligo para matapos na to kung ano man yung sasabihin niya.  He better be sure na it will be worth my time kung hindi, ibablock ko talaga siya.

Matapos kong maligo at magbihis ng isang casual dress ay nag ayos ako ng very light lang.  I don't want Lev to think na nagpapaganda pa ko for him although alam naman nating lahat na maganda na talaga ako with or without ayos.  That's for sure.

I went to the parking lot and drive my way to our meeting place. 

Neu Café

Pagka park ng sasakyan ay lumabas na ako pero bago pa ako makapasok sa café ay napansin ko nga yung billboard ng photoshoot ko.  Napangiti ako and took pictures of it. 

Dati kasi mga small projects lang nakukuha ko, ngayon mga bigger projects na.  I'm so happy my hardwork pays off.

Nakangiti akong pumasok sa café.

The quaint coffee shop bathed in warm, soft light as I entered, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods filling the air. Scanning the room, I searched for the familiar face I hadn't seen in months.

And there he was—Lev, sitting at a corner table, nervously tapping his fingers on the wooden surface.

As I approached him, Lev looked up, and our eyes met.

"Hey, Kayla," He greeted, his voice a little shaky. "Long time no see."

I managed a weak smile, "Yeah, it's been a while"  umupo ako sa tapat nito.

We both ordered our favorite coffees, and as we waited for our drinks, an uneasy silence hung between us. 

Walang nagsasalita, dahil una, naguguilty pa rin ako sa nagawa ko dito at hindi ko alam kung paano ito kakausapin.
