Chapter 54
It's been a week since Freya and I last saw each other, and it feels like a weight has been lifted off my chest that I've been carrying for a long time. Maybe I just needed to talk about it at that time to lessen the pain I've been keeping inside.
Now we're here at Caden's. I'm with Val and Blair. Finally, Blair got home this morning, and she invited us to hang out because she hasn't been to a party in Canada since she's been busy with her studies.
Earlier, Val and Blair met, and luckily Val wasn't busy, so they clicked right away. It was like they've known each other for a long time. They both love parties, pero ako, nawala na talaga yung hilig ko sa parties. Well, umiinom pa rin naman ako, pero not really that much.
"Actually, I invited Reyna, but she can't make it today. However, Ksenia will be here."
While we're sitting in the VIP room, Val keeps talking about Ksenia. It's the only thing she's talking about. She tells me how cool Ksenia is. Our coffee date got canceled because I extended my stay in Japan for a couple of days. It's cold there, and I prefer the weather there in the Ber months.
"Who's this Ksenia that you keep talking about?" Blair asked with curiosity while sipping her martini.
"Yung irereto ko sana kay Kayla. I swear, magugustuhan niyo siya"
"Well make sure walang sabit yan" natatawang pagpaparinig pa ni Blair sa akin, alam ko naman kung bakit niya nasabi yun.
"Yeah, walang fiancé, walang jowa 'to! Darating siya ngayon, and alam mo na kung anong gagawin kapag dumating si Ksenia. We should like, get out of here" natatawang biro kay Blair nito na hindi ko naman kinatuwa. Ganyang siya mambugaw sakin.
"Make sure I really wanna be alone with her, you know na sa sobrang taas ng standards ko, walang pumapasa"
"Not this one, girl. I'm sure papasa 'to kahit ipaputol ko pa 'tong daliri ko"
At itinaas pa talaga nito ang daliri niyang gamit na gamit.
"Get ready to say goodbye to your precious fingers then" this time I gave her a smirk, alam ko naman na hindi niya ipapaputol iyon. My gosh! Sobrang importante sakanya yun eh.
Maya maya pa ay narinig ko na tumunog ang phone ni Val at mukhang tumatawag na yung Ksenia na friend nito. Actually, marami rami na rin ang napakilala niya sa'kin.
Pero wala talaga eh. Hindi ko talaga nagugustuhan. Walang pumapasa. Yung iba medyo wild, meron namang super clingy, meron namang nonchalant, meron ding sobrang obsessive.
Hindi naman sa pagiging choosy, wala talagang pumapasa sa mga pinapakilala niya. Ewan ko lang sa ipapakilala niya ngayon.
"Hello, bestie! Yep, we're here na. Saan ka na ba? Alrighty, see ya!" after niyang binaba ang phone ay nakita ko ang excitement sa mga mata nito, "damn, she's here na! OMG! Kinikilig ako for you!"
I dramatically rolled my eyes. OA talaga niya minsan, ganyan din sinabi niya dati sa mga pinapakilala niya na as if sure na sure siya na magugustuhan ko.
Hindi pa nga ako nakakapagreact ay nakita kong bumukas ang VIP room. At halos mapasinghap ako ng makita ko ang pumasok.
Not to exaggerate but she looks like a freaking goddess. Physically, I can say that she definitely caught my attention. And damn, she's hot.
She exuded confidence and beauty, a head-turner in the dimly lit room. For a moment, my breath caught as I watched her effortlessly entered the room, her smile illuminating the space.
