Taylor smiled at her gently, scooting her foot across the length of the dining table to touch Grace's ankle. Grace's skin was warm compared to her own, the brunette flinched away from the cold and crinkled her face up with surprise.
"Keep your cold feet to yourself, I already share a bed with you and those monsters."
"You love sharing a bed with me," Taylor countered the request but did place her foot back on the rug.
"I loved it until you admitted to waking up in the middle of the night to watch me sleep," the former heiress replied before stabbing into a piece of ground sausage and bringing it towards her mouth.
"Hey, it was only a few times! It's not my fault you literally look like an angel when you do that thing with your hand under your chin and your eyebrows furrow while you're dreaming probably about like, asteroids wiping out the dinosaurs or something. It's charming, it means I love you."
"It means you're creepy and it was in a song talking about how poor I am."
"I don't think you're poor!"
"Right... well my net worth is currently about one forty-third over ten thousand of what it used to be so... I am poor."
"Do you want a raise?" Taylor raised her eyebrows, "Sorry I don't have like, three billion dollars like you did."
"No," Grace laughed genuinely, "I'm actually quite well off compared to the average person so thank you, my love. Also, I have to come clean with you about this because I think somewhere along the line you assumed I gave away a few billion. It was more like thirty-five... plus the houses."
"You did what?!" Taylor dropped her fork that time, "You had thirty-five billion dollars for free and then gave it all away and moved to fucking Glenville?"
