Two times.
I have repeated the mistake of leaving Sakina two times.
I would be damned if I let her go again. Not when we got so close. Not when my heart started beating her name like a need.
Not now. Not ever.
That's why the moment I got to know about her being in Ankara, I thought nothing except of being with her.
So I drove all the way from Istanbul to Ankara to be near her.
During these past five days, I didn't let myself known, but I was around her, following her like a shadow. Making sure she is alright.
When I saw her and her sisters kicking out those piece of shits, I was so fucking proud of my girl. They didn't bothered her again because well after I got done with them, they weren't able to walk. Atleast not until the first hearing.
I have only survived watching Sakina through the shadows, my heart breaking whenever I see her tired face. I used to assure myself that atleast she is safe.
But as I run through the dark woods, hearing her cries echoing around the empty forest, haunting me, my heart started beating dangerously in my chest.
I had followed her and waited for her to come out of those woods for five minutes, then I abandoned my car and started running through the woods.
The woods opened to a small clearing, where I could make out the silhouette of a narrow cliff.
She was on her knees, sobbing while punching the ground.
But she was close to the cliff. Too fucking close.
"Sakina!"
I roared her name before running towards her and haul her up by grabbing her arm.
She startles looking at me as I walk back away from that damn cliff.
"What are you doing near the cliff!" I ask, shaking her shoulders. "It's dark, what if you fell? What were you thinking!"
Tears cling to her eyelashes as she blinks, trying to figure out if she is seeing right.
"D-doruk?"
I wipe the tears from her face. "Yes, it's me, sweetheart. I couldn't stay away from you."
Her chin quivers as she leaps up and wraps her arms around me. I wrap my arms around her back and bring her impossibly closer to me, breathing her coconut scent greedily.
Her hold tightens on my shoulders as she sobs again.
I rub her back, "Shh, it's fine, sweetheart."
"No, it's not fine, it was never fine." Her cries echoes along the dark night, making my heart clench.
