"It is the word of Landru"  the robed man says as though Anansa never spoke at all "you tell Landru that we'll come in our own time and that we'll speak to him"  the robed man who not only was the only one who did all the talking but still had his staff points it at Kirk who takes it from him with ease and he hands it over to Anansa who takes it a high pitched whirring is heard and the robed man says as he turns to face the wall "it is Landru"  Hacom says "Landru"  then he rushes out of the room "coward!"  Anansa whispers "fascinating this is merely a hollow tube, Captain"  Spock says "it took you that long to realize that!?!"  Anansa teases he rolls his eyes at her Kirk chuckles "no mechanism"  Spock says Anansa adds "it's almost like a antennae that seems to have a "direct line" to the so called "Will of Landru" I'm not sure how they're able to use it though these "Lawgivers" are the most empty of all of them, it's like they have no mind of their own whatsoever and just like their staff are the closest to Landru in terms of making sure his "Will" is brought to life"  Kirk nods Reger notices that the robed men have yet to move and he walks over to them then says to Kirk "they're communing we have time come with me"  Kirk asks as he stares at the robed men "where to?"   Reger replies "to a place I know you'll be safe there but we must hurry Landru will come"  then he leads everyone out of the building and onto the streets where they have to act like everyone else in hopes that they don't get caught which they do anyway and Anansa uses her magic to make those who rushed to attack them fall unconscious which shocks Reger when he sees it happen and Bones finds their missing officer in the group that Anansa had used her magic on and despite Reger's warnings Kirk has two of his Security officers carry O'Neil to the safe haven Reger was taking them.... once they reach the safe place Reger was taking them to Bones has the Security Officers place O'Neil on one of the beds inside the room as Reger takes out a Lighting Panel which seems to surprise Spock that they even had one in the type of culture that is on Beta III which they find out came from a time before Landru which no one at the present time knew when that was Spock finds by way of his Tricorder "immensely strong power generations" that are near where they are but are "radiating in all directions" after some pleading from Reger Kirk tells Bones to make sure O'Neil stays asleep for the time being Reger tells them that there are also some people who try to resist Landru he and Tamar are/were one and there is another who he does not know when Anansa heard Spock speak of the power generations she teleports up to the Enterprise for she had a feeling Scotty would need her help Spock saw her leave and smiled for he knew where she was going Kirk however didn't find out she had left until he contacted the Enterprise and was told by Scotty that Anansa was there helping them the best she could "poor Dove's going to be exhausted by the end of all this"  Scotty says Kirk smiles then replies "that's what her husband is for!"  Scotty chuckles Spock rolls his eyes as he hides a smile.... Anansa had placed a magical rock from her home on each end of the Enterprise to help her keep those on it safe then she walks onto the Bridge and says into the com "I'm going to get the ship as far away from these beams as possible even if we have to leave orbit to do so"  Kirk replies "acknowledged"  once she does as she said she was going to do she teleports back to the planet just in time to meet a holorecording of Landru she hears Spock say "projection, Captain unreal".... Spock turns when he hears Anansa say "actually I believe it's a recorded message of some sort, if you speak to him he will not answer just continue his spiel like you're going to listen to him just because he speaks"  he walks over to her and whispers through his teeth "what are you doing here!?!"  she replies "the ship and its people are safe now I need to make sure you and the others stay the same"  he smiles then cups her cheek in his hand "you're being very affectionate for a Vulcan!"  she teases "well I am your husband"  he replies with a smile "and the father of my nonexistent child"  she says he raises his eyebrow at her "if you promise to stay safe I'll go back to the ship otherwise...."  she says "I promise"  he replies before she can finish she nods then kisses his cheek and once again teleports back to the ship Spock tilts his head and raises a eyebrow as he thinks back to every action he has made so far today and finds out that Anansa was right he was being very affectionate more affectionate than he's ever been and he has no idea why but he likes the way she has responded to his affection but he knows he can't continue to do so especially when he does return to the ship and that makes him sad.... a few hours later Spock and the others return to the ship and Spock finds Anansa collecting her now dead stones from her home planet and he walks with her and helps her find and pick up the rest "I know Spock I understand better than anyone else could and though I will miss those little moments of affection I will be grateful that you are still here in my life and still my friend"  Anansa whispers as they work "I shall always be your friend"  Spock replies she smiles though there was a hint of sadness in her eyes and it seemed to shine in his as well but they will have to be content with what they have for now even though they both want so much more....
