Marc

My hands fall to my side as I watch Mariana walk away. "What's up with her?" Hector asks from next to me. I didn't say anything to the boy but just walk past him and follow Mariana in the crowd.
I quickly reach her and grip her hand in mine, and without saying anything I pull her off to the side then walk into an empty room that was near by.
"Amor..I'm sorry." I say as I shut the door, do the music could get tuned out.
She keeps her arms crossed over her chest. "Please, lets just go back to the party. I'll make it up to you." I say, taking her hands in mine.
She sighs.
"I want to leave." She says. I shake my head at her "lets go back—no, Marc. You can't invite me to a party then just leave me standing there alone. I want to leave." She says again, taking her hands from mine.
"I didn't think you wanted to go with us. You didn't even want to come." I defend myself.
She scoffs. "Yeah, I didn't but I'm here, no? You wanted me to come then you just ditched me. I'm your girlfriend Marc!" She argues.
"Not only that, Prim pushed me out of the way earlier and you didn't even say anything. Then you proceeded to walk away with them, leaving me behind. I understand that you want to have fun with your friends but if you're going to act like that, don't invite me." She says. She was obviously frustrated.
I scoff at her words and now cross my arms over my chest.
"I do want you here." I tell her. "Then act like you do!"
"Its hard when you never want to do anything, Mariana. I ask you to dance, you say no, I ask if you want a drink, you say no. You don't do anything! You just expect us to be standing around the whole night and I want to have fun! Fun with my girlfriend but my girlfriend doesn't want too." I say, starting to raise my voice slightly.

She shakes her head at me. "I do not just stand around—-yes, yes you do, Mariana. I have to basically beg you to even dance with me. Loosen up a little, we're 17!" I cut her off. She doesn't say anything else, just stares at me with her arms crossed.
I sigh and look down at the floor for a second before looking back at her. "I'm sorry that I ditched you, I'm sorry I didn't say anything to Pau but can you please stop being dramatic and let's just enjoy the rest of the party." I don't know exactly what happened but I see her a face instantly change at my words.
With her arms still crossed over her chest, she pushes past me and makes her way out of the room without saying a single words to me. I groan and rub my face with my hands before walking out of the room but I was to late and couldn't spot the girl.
I look around for a bit but gave up and went back to where I had last seen my friends.
"Hey..I'm heading out." I say as I reach Hector. Hector looks at me confused.
"Why?" He asks.

I sigh. "I got into an argument with Anita...I think she left and I need to go find her." I tell him.
"Argument about what?" At this point my other friends started to listen in on the conversation.

"She's upset because she feels left out basically...she'll get over it." I say. I don't let them respond knowing what Prim were likely to say.
I say goodbye to them one last time and make my way out of the party.

I pull out my phone and click on Mariana's contact. I look around as it rings.

call declined

I call again

call declined

and again.

this time the call wasn't declined. It makes it to voice mail. I put the phone up to my mouth.
"Mariana, pick up the phone. I need to know where you are." I says before hanging up.
I wait for a few minutes but nothing for the girl. I sigh and leave another voice mail.
"Anita, I'm serious. Where are you? I need to know if you left the party and if you're okay." I say.

"Puta madre." I mumble. I wait for a few more minutes but I soon start to get anxious when the girl doesn't call back.
I pull out my phone again and click on Snapchat, going over to maps in hopes that she has been active recently.
And to my luck she was active just 4 minutes ago.
I felt a slight relief in my stomach but anxiousness at the same time as I see that the girl was already a block away from the party.
I quickly start to walk in the same direction, hoping that I wasn't too far behind because I had longer legs and the girl was wearing heels.
Soon and after slightly jogging, to my luck I was able to spot a female walking in the distance.
"Mariana!" I shout.
I see the girl stop and turn around. The dim lights of the street post show the red dress she wore.
I start to jog till I got closer.
"Mariana." I say reaching out to grab her by her arms.
I held her tightly as I analyzed her face. "What where you thinking?" I ask her.
She avoids my glance. "You can't just leave. What if something happened to you?" I say. My grip on her arms still tight.
She sighs and pushes my arms away from her. I could tell she was still upset.
I reach over and take her by the face. I run my thump across her cheek. The girl rests her head against my palm. "I'm sorry." She whispers.
I shake my head and lean down to kiss her forehead.
"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have ditched you. Te amo, amor." I tell her.
The girl pulls away from my hand and wraps her arms around my waist, resting her head on my chest.
"I'm sorry if I was being too dramatic." She says.
I wrap my arms around her tight. "'No, it's okay. I'm sorry I made you feel that way." I hold her close. I press a small kiss to her forehead and I rub my arm up and down her back.
I had a pit of regret in my stomach as I held the girl. The girl that I love with all my heart.
"Te amo." She says to me. I smile soft and pull back slightly so I can see her face.
"Lets see that smile." I say poking at her cheek. She moves her face away so I poke her cheek again.
"A ver". I smile softly at her as she starts to crack a smile.
"Ay que Bonita." I chuckle, leaning down to kiss her cheek.
