The wolf, with blood still staining its fur, slowly approached the group of humans after it killed the saber-tooth deer. As it drew near, the tense atmosphere lingered, uncertainty etched on the faces of the group of people. However, to their surprise, the wolf's demeanor shifted. Its fierce yellow eyes softened, and it emitted a low, almost melodic growl - a stark contrast to the demonic deer it had just vanquished.

Eve cautiously extended her hand toward the large wolf, sensing an inexplicable connection. The wolf, now inches away, nuzzled her hand, its large frame radiating an unexpected warmth. Jon, Zeke, Melody, Julia, and the Beckett boys exchanged astonished glances, realizing that this formidable creature was not an enemy, but a potential ally.

"So...it seems this wolf will not attack us?" Questioned Kyle unsurely.

"Well, it does seem to like Eve." Commented Zeke, seeing how the wolf is not attacking Eve.

The wolf unexpectedly nudged Eve's hand, urging her to give it pets.

"Oh, you want me to pet you? My, aren't you a loveable one big guy?" Chuckled Eve, no longer feeling any sense of fear. Despite it's blood covered fur, Eve smoothe's her hand over the silkiness of it.

The wolf pokes out his tongue out of his mouth and huffs like a domesticated dog, enjoying the pets and scratches he is getting from the young woman.

"Woof!" He barked out in happiness.

"Can I pet it too?" Mason asked eagerly, stepping out towards the wolf.

"I want to pet it too!" Kyle jumps in.

"So do I!" Said Julia, also wanting to touch the fluffy animal.

Sensing the kids wants to touch him, the wolf walked away from Eve to stand before the kids instead.

"Can we touch you?" Mason asked the wolf hesitantly.

With intelligent eyes observing the kids, the wolf nodded his head to let them pet him.

The kids squealed in excitement and began to offer the dangerous looking animal multiple pets and scratches.

"I guess it like kids too." Said Melody, smiling at the scene.

Jon is still on edge though.

"It is a wild animal, so it could still decide to attack us." He stated cautiously.

"Now that this deer from hell is dead, what do we do now?" Asked Eve to the group.

"It's already getting dark. We should set up camp again." Replied Jon.

"Oh wait, the deers! How about we take the deer carcasses and cook it for dinner?!" Suggested Melody.

"That's a great idea my love!" Zeke readily agreed.

Julia with a uncertain look said,"But those are not normal deers, are you sure we can eat them?"

"I'm sure most of the animals in this forest are not normal." Said Jon.

"I don't think it would hurt to eat these deers. The kids need the protein anyway." Said Eve.

In the end, the group decided to have these dead sabertooth deers for dinner. They stayed on the same area to set up camp.

Just when the group started to set up camp again, they noticed that the large gray wolf hadn't left them.

"You want to join us?" Eve asked the wolf, crouching over it as the wolf observe the others setting up the camp.

"Woof!" He barked in reply.

"Oh okay then, we will share you some of the deer meat with you too as a thank you for saving us."

Underneath the moonlit canopy, the group sat around the crackling fire, a surreal scene unfolding as the formidable wolf nestled beside them. The scent of roasting saber-tooth deer filled the air, the flames casting a warm glow on the faces of Eve, Jon, Zeke, Melody, Julia, and the Beckett kids.

Mason, Kyle, and Julia, their faces smeared with dirt, giggled as they fed morsels of cooked meat to the majestic wolf, who accepted the offerings with a dignified grace. The flickering firelight revealed a camaraderie forming between the humans and the enigmatic creature.

"Who would've thought we'd be sharing a meal with a wolf tonight?" remarked Zeke, slicing a piece of the charred meat.

"Life's full of surprises," replied Jon, cautiously eyeing the wolf but gradually easing into the newfound alliance.

As the group savored the unconventional dinner, the atmosphere shifted from tension to a shared sense of survival. The wolf, once a harbinger of fear, now became a silent guardian, keeping watch over the makeshift camp.

Underneath the star-studded sky, a bond formed between unlikely companions, united by the challenges of the mysterious forest and the warmth of a shared fire. Little did they know, this night would mark the beginning of an extraordinary journey, where alliances were forged not only among humans but with the wild and untamed forces surrounding them.

The wolf laid on the ground between Eve and the kids.

"I think you need a name." Eve told the wolf after she finished her meal.

"Are you really going to name the wolf?" Jon asked, raising his eyebrow.

"Yes. I think he will stick with us for a long time." Eve turn to the wolf beside her.

"How about we call you Storm?" She asked the predator. She thought of that name because of the wolf's gray colored fur.

The wolf's intelligent eyes look at her, then gave her a loud yawn. Eve sensed that the wolf accepted the name.

"Okay, we will call you Storm from now on."
