Selected choice: -:Take his arm:-

------------------------------------------------------

My brain was fully fried, unable to comprehend all that had evidently happened the prior day AND the fact that I just woke up in a random bed with a strange man.

So without thought, or complaint, I reached out and accepted his offered arm, my stare blank as I struggled to comprehend.

Just comprehend in general.

I just wanted to move away from my stalker. . .Why is all this happening?

Not noticing my distress, Kian draped his unoccupied hand over my hand where it rested on his arm, beaming down at me as he did so.

''C'mon pretty boy, let's go have a chat with Sullivan!'' He cheered out as I numbly was dragged along beside him out of the motel room.

We're on the side of the motel that the blood was coming from. . .

He led me over to the office, the sun shining brightly down on us the entire walk, making the bronze skinned man's skin practically glow.

A few people were bustling about. . .But I just. . .Couldn't process them. . .All I could do was follow numbly.

Stepping into the little office, we had to step around a small line of people to stand off to the side as the tall, pretty, pale man dealt with his customers.

They were actually being charged today. . .

His gaze briefly flicked in our direction before going back to dealing with the line, handing out keys and accepting payment before sending them on their way.

''Wow it's pretty busy today'' Kian murmured quietly before his grin returned to his face.

''Hey Sullivan! We're heading towards the back! Meet us there when you're done out here!'' Kian called out, his voice sing song-y as he bodily dragged me around the counter and through into the room in the back.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but a small, fully furnished house was not it.

What the hell is this day? This week! This. . .All of this. . .

I was just. . .So done. So very done.

Kian was happily muttering to me about all the 'cool things Sullivan has!' as I just numbly sat down next to him on the couch, my posture stiff as I kept my hands folded in my lap, my brain completely blank.

I wasn't sure how much time passed before finally, the long haired man joined us in his own home, sitting down in the chair across from where we sat.

''So! Ready to explain things to pretty boy here?'' Kian asked, his voice cheerful and warm as he draped an arm around my shoulders, tugging me into his side.

The pretty man - Sullivan - just frowned slightly, his eyes boring into me for a long moment before he gestured towards Kian to remove his arm from me.

''An explanation can wait until he's no longer in shock'' The raspy voiced man murmured as he watched me, gentle concern visible in his eyes.

He reached a hand out towards me as he leaned forwards, reaching for my face.

I had all the time in the world to move away from his hand. . .But. . .Despite that, I felt like I was moving through sap, my brain struggling to respond.

His skin was cold as he gently cupped my face, smooth and like marble.

Something inside me clicked back into place with his touch, making me shiver slightly as the fog in my mind cleared.

''There we go, that's better'' Sullivan murmured softly as he slowly pulled his hand away from me, telegraphing his movements the entire time.

''Huh. . .Is that why he was so quiet?'' Kian questioned as I did my best to hold as still as possible.

They faced down that creature like it was nothing. . .They're. . .They're not human are they. . .

Sullivan gave me a sympathetic smile suddenly, clasping his hands in his lap as he did so.

''No, we're not. . .Let me properly introduce ourselves, I'm Sullivan, and the cheerful man next to you is Kian, I apologize for the hassle that has befallen you'' Sullivan started, his voice just barely above a whisper, the quiet tone drawing my full, undivided attention.

''The book that you read. . .It belongs to a demi god born of the god of chaos and a mortal beast from earth, Maddox. His book was given to his. . .Well, cult, for them to read and summon him. . .Typically ending in their death to sustain his form further.'' Sullivan explained, his words sending a shiver of cold, primal fear to run down my spine, the more animal part of my brain screaming at the mention of it's name.

''Yeah, dude sucks'' Kian chuckled out as he slung his arm around my shoulders, providing a heavy, warm anchoring weight for me.

Sullivan gave him a reproachful look at that comment before continuing.

''Interacting with his book, his domain, you entered into a binding contract with him. A contract he intends to enforce'' Sullivan further explained as my distress briefly spiked before the pale man reached back out for me, grabbing gently onto my hand.

Once again, his touch soothed the primal fear inside me, leaving me strangely calm.

''However, since you stayed here the night prior, in my domain, I also have a claim to you as well'' He continued to explain, his statement. . .Not scaring me in the slightest.

''Both Kian and I are also demi gods, he is the son of the sun god, and I'm the son of death, we were able to come to a binding agreement with Maddox after a while. The three of us are anchored to you now. . .I am very sorry that you've been dragged into all of this. . .But with the agreement, you are required to spend time in the presence of Maddox, Kain and I'' Sullivan continued as I just stared at him, entirely unsure how the heck I was to react to any of this honestly overwhelming amount of information.

Sullivan sighed before finishing his explanation.

''The binding agreement prevents him from causing you harm without your consent, however, as you're his anchor now, he will be draining energy from you which might feel unpleasant if he's not gentle about it. . .If that's any consolation'' Sullivan finished explaining, his raspy voice filled with apology as he explained.

I. . .Really didn't know how to react to. . .Anything.

This. . .This feels like some fever dream. . .Am. . .Am I even awake??
