"Who said what to you?" There was a darkness growing in Sebastian's eyes as he stared at her. An anger mixed in with mourning before becoming something akin to vengeance before he began to hide his emotions. "This isn't fucking wordplay, Hunt. Tell me what you know."

Her lips curved slightly. "That could take a while. Encyclopaedia brain and all."

"You really love pissing me off, don't you?"

"It's nothing compared to finding out what really happened to her." Gracie remarked, keeping his gaze. "They ate her."

"Who. Ate. Her?" His word were dripping with wrath.

Gracie tried to lean back, but that only made Sebastian put more pressure against the bottom of her chin. She tried to hide the flinch, but under his scrutinizing gaze; Sebastian didn't miss anything. In fact, he almost look satisfied that he hurt her.

"The goblins." Gracie answered sourly, "The stew they were eating. I thought it might have been beef, but it was gazelle meat. I think? I don't really know why gazelles were brought up."

"She is-was an animagus." Sebastian said, briefly closing his eyes. He dropped his outstretched arm before heading towards the door, "I'm going to take a nap before we leave. You should do the same."

"You aren't going to sleep here?" Gracie was dumbfounded. Who were the cots for?

The Scottish demon sent her a heated glance before shaking his head, "I'd rather sleep next to a Lethifold than spend a night in the same room with you, Hunt."

Ah.

He was definitely pissed with her for keeping Ominis' secret, if only to anger him further.

Good.

She didn't like his stupid nickname for her, or his voice, and definitely not his stupid looks.

Chapter Nine: Travel Partners

After freshening up in the morning and getting very little sleep, Gracie was laying down on one of the loveseats. She'd picked up a couple books that were of interest to her on the shelf which all revolved around potion ingredients and herbology. If they were going to be exploring the world, then she ought to at least know about plants that could help them if they were ever in a bind.

Unfortunately that made her mind run rampant regardless of how tired she was. It was an odd feeling to be so lethargic and tired, yet she couldn't fall asleep. Her mind simply wouldn't allow her and all of her dreamless sleep draughts were in her bedroom at home.

That was how Sebastian found her when he plucked the book out of her hands.

"Have you been lazying about all morning?" He asked, checking out the book title with little interest, "Are you ready? We must get to London to take the train."

Gracie sat up and rubbed her eye, "Sure."

"But first you need to change your hair color, shortcake. That shade of rose stands out. We need to blend in with the Muggles and other members of wizarding society."

She frowned. "No."

"It wasn't up for discussion." He said flatly, taking a lock of her hair between his fingers, "I could spot you in a crowd very easily and so could the men that showed up at your apartment." Shock must has registered on his face because Sebastian smirked darkly. "Ominis can hide things from me and surely you can too. For now. But I know Everett was here helping you and he's not as confident that I won't kill him."
