The morning of the first day of the auction.

I start the day with morning stretches in order to get ready for what I assumed going to be a very long first day of work. Then, I take a shower using magic because the suite room only has a bathtub in the bathroom. The convenience of having a shower head hasn't spread outside of the elves' village yet, unfortunately. There's still time before I have to leave so I'm not in a rush to get ready but Erissa still wants to properly style my hair even when it's mostly going to be covered up with a hat.

"Are you going to wear those monster-painted shirts to the auction, Iris?" Erissa asks while she skilfully swirls my long hair into a bun.

"No, I already picked out the clothes I'm going to wear."

"It's not the same attire you wear when you go running, is it?"

Erissa stops moving her hands just to give me her disapproving eyes.

"It's not," I deny while snacking on a honey nut and seed brittle.

Once Erissa is satisfied with how tightly secured my hair is, I change out of my comfortable clothes in the room Erissa sleeps in because it has the biggest mirror. For today's look, I specifically prepared a set of matching cropped blazer with a long pleated skirt. As for the shoes, I choose a pair of ankle boots. Because, in my heart, I am still a modern person from Earth who was raised to dress accordingly, I simply cannot go to an important place like the Auction House wearing my usual clothes. Thus, I reluctantly open the storage app on my phone that is connected to my Dimensional Space and spend an entire night scrolling through the app rather than exhausting myself digging through the stuff that's been hoarding inside my storage, and another two whole days to coordinate three sets of clothes.

I strap my item bag around my waist instead of using it as a crossbody bag like I normally do and to complete my whole outfit is the caramel bucket hat that I crocheted.

"Iris, have you finished changing?"

Erissa lightly knocks on the door.

"I'll be right out!"

I take a picture of my whole outfit in front of the mirror and send it to the goddess. After all, half of what I'm wearing now were the gifts she arbitrarily sent through my Dimensional Space.

"What do you think?"

I twirl around in front of Erissa and Archie.

To be honest, it's been a while since I dressed up like this, so I'm feeling a bit excited.

Erissa takes a good long look at me from head to toe before opening her mouth, "I have some questions regarding the maker of the clothes but let's leave that for another time."

I awkwardly scratch my cheek.

"I think you'd fit right in, Iris," Erissa finishes after she fixes the bucket hat on my head.
