When the quarrelling duo finally settles down, Roy sees the empty plates on the table in front of him and grumbles about there not being any food for him. I offer him the packed club sandwiches I made and he takes it without reserve. Recently, club sandwiches have been popular in the dining hall of the administrative building. Maybe that's why Luda is glancing at the sandwich in Roy's hand enviously.

"Ah, that reminds me, Iris, on what days are you not busy with your lessons?" enquires Luna.

Let's see, a week comprises of seven days and a month is thirty days. This world's calendar is not that different from my former world, but the name of the days differ from the ones I'm familiar with. It gets confusing when I have to mention the correct name of the day out loud when speaking to a person, therefore at first I just refer it as numbers, like the third day of this week or the fourth day on the second week to make it simpler. Ultimately, I make use of the notebook Kinai gifted to me and made a calendar planner using the information from the calendar app on my phone. It's easier and more convenient this way rather than having to sneakily gaze at my phone when I'm in public places.

Back to Luna's question, apart from the three days allocated for physical and magic combat training with Roy and Lorelai, plus a day of specialised earth magic lessons with Luda, the rest of my time is done flexibly according to my mood. Sometimes I'll be in the kiln; practising and learning crafting methods from the apprentices, other times I'll be sparring at the rangers' training ground and if I don't particularly feel like doing anything, then I just stay at home, tending to the garden, catch up on my reading and resting with Bane.

In short, I tell Luna that I'm usually free during the second half of the week.

Luna responds. "Can you set a day for me too?

"Sure, but for what?"

"I was told you would not mind an additional specialised magic lesson to your schedule."

She has my attention the moment the word 'specialised' is uttered.

Luna throws a confirmation look at Roy who instead respond with an affirmative nod since his mouth is full of food then says, "We think it'd be best for you to learn to control the range of magic, specifically Area Magic."

I tilt my head in puzzlement. The first thing Lord Sol teaches me after I learned to manipulate my mana perfectly is magic control whilst stressing the importance of the 'do not ever let the magic go wild else your soul will burn up' part. The main reason is that when a mage becomes absorbed in progressing towards learning advanced spells, they often forget in adjusting the magic control and consequently the spell bounces back towards the caster. That is why every morning and before every magic lesson I've had, I do warming up exercises with my mana. It's the same way when you have to stretch your muscles first before doing rigorous exercises. By doing so, I could easily handle altering between spells of different attributes during training.

"The other day during the tainted monster incident, you performed a new spell multiple times in a day," Luna stresses the last part and continues speaking, "Moreover, it's a type of Area Magic, correct?"
