Halina rushed forwards and summoned some light. 'that's gonna drain her later' I thought. Rei's screaming faltered, and instead, a purple light started lashing out on the birds..
Then it hit Halina.
Everything was in slow-mo. I remember running towards the birds to help Rei. Then, a flashing light. I don't remember anything else. It was just bright.
